Job Prerequisites:
Ability to read, write and take directions in English, basic math, organization skills and will to learn new things. Applicants should have no sensitivities to cleaning chemicals, work with knives, high temperatures and be able to work with all food types, including pork and seafood. Previous kitchen experience is preferred.
Job Description :
This position may involve both preparation and cooking of restaurant menu items. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Preparing food before meal service begins, including chopping vegetables, breaking down meat into serving sizes, making sauces and dividing herbs. Setting up and stocking kitchen stations. Cooking assigned foods during restaurant service while complying with senior chefs’ instructions and recommendations. Plating cooked foods.Keeping food stations clean and organized.
