Job prerequisites:
Proficient English. You must arrive at Mauna Kea 2-3 days in advance of your start date to take your TB (tuberculosis) clearance test after you arrive in Hawaii. You will not be allowed to start work before you get the test clearance. The cost of the TB test will be between $50-70. You will be required to pay for this at the time of the test. It takes 2 days to see the results of the skin Tb clearance test. If you do not pass the TB test, you will be required to get a chest x-ray to prove you do not have TB before you can start work. Only arrive at Mauna Kea on a business day (Monday through Friday). You will start work approx. 2 days later. Start date must be a Monday through Friday date; no starting on weekends. You must submit a Youtube video to CHI at chimaryw@chinet.org (we will forward it to your employer) BEFORE approval and placement in the position. Please include:

Job Description:
Very fast-paced jobs! Service Attendants must welcome and greet guests in a warm and friendly manner. Duties include pouring water, coffee, and tea and assisting wait staff in servicing guests. Must set up tables with linens, silverware, glassware, and china and reset tables as needed. Keep the dining room area clean and orderly. Clean and polish equipment, such as coffee urns, cream, and milk dispensers. Keep supplies stocked in work station. Team player that will perform any other duties as assigned by managers. Must be able to stand for your entire shift, be quick on your feet & lift up to 50lbs/23kg. Must be dependable, hard working, friendly, and a very trustworthy and honest individual. Must like people and have a great attitude, you’ll be working directly with the guests. Flexible to help in other positions as requested. Additional tasks as requested by management. Ability to handle any additional tasks assigned by management. You will be working weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), all holidays, and evening shifts. You may not work the same shifts as your friends. Nor will you have the same days off as your friends.
Must pass a drug test before you start working! Employer is offering free meals on days working and not working. On your days off if you are hanging out around the hotel you must dress in business casual attire (no beach wear, shorts, pants with holes, short shirts showing skin, etc). Slacks and nice shirts are required. No piercings or tattoos showing. Communication with CHI & your employer prior to your arrival and during your program is essential for your success. Must arrive at least 2 days prior to your start date so you can take your drug test.
