Job Description:
Housekeeper
Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and property common areas, including hallways.
Participants will also be expected to act in a public relations capacity by providing information and assistance to the guests.
Participants will be assigned to clean a variety of single rooms at the resort. Rooms may sleep up to 4 people, depending on their size. Single-room units have beds with a small refrigerator and microwave. Participants can view sample photos of all accommodations at https://www.choicehotels.com/montana/billings/ascend-hotels/mt086
Job duties include:
- Greeting guests with a smile
- Maintaining a well-groomed appearance and professional demeanor
- Following and complying with cleaning procedures as trained
- Following cleaning checklists for daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance
- Adhering to established federal and state safety regulations and guidelines in the operation and storage of various equipment, tools, and chemicals
- Ensuring the safety of fellow staff and resort guests
- Reporting customer problems, requests, or complaints and reporting any property damage immediately to staff supervisors
*Housekeepers will be using cleaning chemicals to sanitize surfaces, mop floors, and clean bathrooms, including toilets.
*Participants will be using the vacuum cleaner to clean carpets.
*Participants will be taking out trash and re-lining trash baskets.
*Participants are required to attend monthly team meetings.
Water Park Attendant
In this position, participants must work from the top of slides or bottom of water slides, monitoring, controlling, and directing guests.
Participants will be next to or in chlorinated water and in a humid environment. Participants will also be standing, sitting, and walking for long periods.
As a water slide attendant, participants must ensure a safe and healthy environment for the swimmers and must be able to recognize and react properly in emergencies.
Additional duties may include cleaning the pool and surrounding area deck, and back office, removing trash, and enforcing water slide and pool facility rules and gate control. Participants may be cleaning toilets/locker rooms and using cleaning chemicals for sanitizing surfaces, cleaning toilets, and mopping floors.
Breakfast Attendant
The Breakfast Attendant is responsible primarily for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down the breakfast buffet and for maintaining the breakfast dining area.
Breakfast is served every morning from 7:00 am until 10:00 am. The position starts at 6:00 am for set up.
Staff must be professional, polite, and reliable.
Employees must have good communication and customer service skills, as this is a fast-paced position with continual customer contact. Duties include clearing tables, cleaning of dining and buffet area, and maintaining storage room and breakfast supply inventories. Pulling all items at closing time, cleaning, and putting away.
Participants will be using cleaning chemicals for sanitizing surfaces and mopping floors. Participants will be handling pork products.

Participants are offered free water park passes. A complimentary breakfast is often available. The breakfast is on days of work only and it all depends on what is left on the buffet. There is usually enough for staff but on days the hotel is full, not guaranteed.
