Position: Food Expeditor
Position Available: 1 Position
Hourly wage: $15.00 per hour
Meals: Participants may be eligible for some meal discounts, ranging between 25-40% depending on years of service.
Bonus comments: Bonuses are not guaranteed and are contingent upon work performance. A $750 bonus may be awarded upon successful completion of the contract through the final day, submission of a valid Food Handler’s Card, and provision of a Social Security Number (SSN).
To be eligible, participants must work through the last day of their contract. End-of-contract bonuses are paid only for regular hours worked in the participant’s primary position; overtime hours are excluded. If a manager transfers a participant to a different primary position due to business needs, previously worked hours may still be counted. However, if a participant voluntarily changes roles, the company is not obligated to pay the bonus.
Hours worked in a secondary job with the company do not qualify toward the bonus program. However, hours worked in the primary position are included when calculating overtime rates. For example, if a participant works 40 hours in their primary position in one week, any hours worked in a secondary role will be paid at the overtime rate.
Participants must also remain in good standing to qualify for the bonus. Excessive tardiness, unsatisfactory work performance, or policy violations may result in disqualification. Please note: you will not receive the end-of-contract bonus if HR has not received your Social Security Number
Must work to last day. *End of contract bonuses are only paid out for regular hours worked in the participant’s primary position. Overtime hours are not included. If a participant works a second job with the company those hours do not qualify for the bonus program, however the primary role hours are included in the second job hours. Example: If a participant works 40 hours in a week in their primary job, any hours worked in the second job would be paid at the overtime rate that week. Participants must also be in good standing to receive their bonus. Excessive tardiness, poor work performance, or other policy violations will jeopardize qualifying for the bonus. YOU WILL NOT receive your bonus at the end of your contract if you have not provided HR with your social security number.

Job Prerequisites:
Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift 50lbs. Must have previous experience in the kitchen or a keen interest in culinary arts. No limitations or food allergies. Must be ok with working with pork. Must commit to end of contract date. Must be able to read recipes, communicate clearly and understand measurements. Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must. Food Handlers Card Required. An interview with the host employer is required for this position.

Job Descriptions:
The Food Expeditor (Expo) is responsible for making sure both sides of the kitchen are running smoothly and efficiently. They are responsible for ticket times being up to standards and should be the only one communicating between the cooks and the front of house employees. Ensuring each dish going out is of high quality and plated correctly and all items on the ticket are going out together.
Essential Functions
– Perform a variety of entry-level restaurant tasks.
– Responsible for appearance and finished quality of food orders.
– Ensure food orders are served promptly and efficiently to the correct table in the restaurant while ensuring guest satisfaction and overall food quality.
– Making sure cooks and runners are aware of ticket times and items going together.
– Watching that re-fire items get executed correctly.
– Communicating with team members if there are any issues with tickets. – Informing management/chefs of issues.
– Ensuring re-fires are made and handled in the correct manner.
Must commit to end of contract date. Employer may change position based on skill level, need of the restaurant, or to accommodate hours. Every employee assists, at times, with dishwasher shifts. It is important to be flexible. Food Handlers Card REQUIRED.
