Job Description:
– Prepare food according to recipes & under supervision from owners.
– Set tables & prepare dining area and be able to run food and drink orders to guests with a very positive attitude, be helpful & friendly.
– Clear tables & prepare dining room for the next day. Wash dishes & put away dry.
– Clean & polish furniture and fixtures in common areas, dining area, and guest rooms.
– Change bedding and make beds as directed.
– Clean rooms, hallways, common areas, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
– Re-stock coffee bars, mini refrigerators and cookie stations on each floor & each area as needed.
– Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies using vacuum cleaners.
– Clean wood floorings, kitchen flooring, and hallway floorings using mops and vacuum cleaners.
– Clean bathrooms, showers, sink, toilets, floors & mirrors in bedrooms and common areas using a variety of bathroom cleaning products.
– Carry linens, towels, coffee mugs, coffee products, creamers, plates, spoons, cookie dishes, bathroom products, toilet items, cleaning supplies, and vacuum cleaners up and down stairs.
– Empty trash receptacles, and trash cans, carry trash out to dumpster, and replace receptacles and cans with new trash bags.
– Load dirty laundry into washers and once clean place laundry to be dried in the dryers.
– Fold clean laundry, towels, sheets, linens etc. and place in housekeeping closets.
– Dust furniture.
– Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses with assistance.
– Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, and bathroom items.
– Sweep & clean outside furniture & areas when weather allows & as directed.
– Perform outside yard work as directed, including but not limited to the laying of mulch, weeding, pruning & general clean-up of outside areas.
Qualifications:
– Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and other personnel.
– Must be proficient in English & display positive attitude towards all guests.
– Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
– Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 7 hours).
Job Expectations for Impeccable Customer Service:
– It is important for employees to be on time according to the schedule agreed to, as your co-workers & superiors depend on you! This is a critical time of day for us. Continued lateness after 3 warnings is grounds for a warning & eventual termination after that.
– If sick or going to be late, you must contact the Inn directly via telephone as email and texting is not appropriate. Make sure you know the phone #.
– Employees cannot have more than 3 unscheduled absences, including sick days, within a 6-month period. A warning will be provided after the 2nd occurrence. If more than 3 do occur, corrective action will be taken up to termination.
– Not coming in to work on any day is grounds for termination.
– Employees can request time off directly to owners until schedule is created & agreed to so that coverage can be made in your absence.
– Always come to work clean, presentable & with a clean uniform. Uniform includes khaki pants or shorts and Old Manse Inn Polo Shirt. Each employee can receive 2 shirts for work purposes free, more for retail price.
– If hair is long, that is touching shoulders, then it must be pulled back for breakfast services.

Cost Details: Rent is $150 per week (with $150 deposit)
Housing Details : The housing is brand new and on-site at the Inn, just a short walk to work. Bicycles are available for $50 deposit.
