Job Prerequisites:

NEW PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER BEFORE STARTING TO WORK.

Participants that don’t have the SSN must arrive a week earlier and apply for it. You will not start to work until you have the appointment receipt to show at HR.

Your start date must be one of these dates: March 16th, 30th or April 13th. You must arrive 2 days before your start date at the KONA airport.

If you have your QuantiFERON TB test (QFT-GIT) certificate, then you will attend Orientation on your scheduled start date.

This is fast-paced and requires physical stamina to do the job properly! No allergy to cleaning products or physical limitations that prevent you from doing your job. You must complete the online employer application before arriving in the USA. Your Program Coordinator will be sending the link to you. This online application must be completed by the employer’s deadline, or your start date may be delayed. Please reach out to your CHI Program Coordinator if you did not receive the link and ask for it. Any tattoos MUST be approved by your employer before you are hired. Please send a picture of your tattoo to Us Sponsor (your Us Sponsor interviewer, Regional Manager, or Program Coordinator). The minimum duration required at this employer is 3-4 months. The employer will NOT consider participants available for less than 3 months. You must be sure you can complete your program before applying for this position.

Job Descriptions:

As a member of the Clean Team, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests. This is a physically demanding role that requires energy, attention to detail, and a positive service attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Service: Greet guests immediately with a friendly, sincere acknowledgment; respond promptly to special requests.
  • Room & Suite Cleaning: Make beds, dust, vacuum, clean mirrors and furniture, empty trash, wash windows and tracks.
  • Bathroom Cleaning: Sanitize toilets, showers, floors, mirrors, and walls; change linens and towels; restock bathroom amenities.
  • Public Areas: Clean and vacuum hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and other common areas; empty trash bins.
  • Laundry & Supplies: Restock guest rooms, supply carts, and linen closets as needed; assist in laundry if requested.
  • Balconies & Grounds: Clean balconies (if applicable) and assigned outdoor/common areas.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Inspect rooms for needed repairs or non-functioning fixtures and report deficiencies to management.
  • Other Duties: Assist in additional tasks or other departments as assigned by management

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and push a 50lb/35kg housekeeping cart for extended periods.
  • Must not be sensitive to cleaning chemicals, soaps, or lotions.
  • Capable of performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.

Additional

  • Opportunities Overtime may be required during peak business periods.
  • Additional hours may be available in food service if you have a negative TB test result on file (QuantiFERON®-TB Gold test required). If you cannot complete this test in your home country, you may take it in Hawaii; however, this may delay your eligibility to begin food service shifts.

  • Scheduling: Your schedule and days off may differ from friends’. No guarantee of hours—be prepared for busy and slower periods.
  • Employees may be sent home early if business levels are low. Mandatory Pre-Arrival Requirements

Complete the Hilton Waikoloa online application within 2 weeks of being placed in the job. Complete your Social Security card application online approximately 10 to 20 days before

flying to the USA. TB Test: If possible, complete your QuantiFERON®-TB Gold test in your home country. Submit your certificate to Us Sponsor and bring a copy for your employer. If not completed before arrival, you must take the test in Hawaii, which may delay your work start date.

Important: You will not be placed on the work schedule until all four requirements are complete. Your Program Coordinator will ask for updates, and you are expected to respond promptly.
