Position: Busser/Runner/Host (Position will be assigned when arrive)
Position Available: 1 – 3 positions
Hourly wage: $12.00+tips – $17.00 per hour
Busser/Runner $12.00+tips per hour
Host $17.00 per hour
Overtime: Slight
Overtime details: Very slight chance of any overtime. Do not expect it. Any overtime must be approved by management.
Estimated hours per day: 32 hrs a week
Number of days per week: 5 – 6 days per week

Description :
Busser: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Promptly welcomes all guests and ensure they receive responsive, professional, and gracious service at all times. Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency to maintain a productive working relationship with all guests and deliver necessary items.
- Effectively communicate with management, chefs, and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other team members.
- Clear tables after guests leave, promptly clean table tops/seating area, thoroughly clean the booths and chairs, and take tableware to the dish room.
- Assist servers in pre-bus and busing tables. Pre-bussing includes clearing, wiping tabletops, chairs & booths, and setting tables.
- Help set up to-go/pick up area and help deliver to-go orders to host desk to be picked up by guests.
- Refill beverages as necessary.
- Set and reset tables and side stations before, during and after service periods.
- Deliver food orders to tables.
- Ensure all machines are cleaned properly.
- Fold/roll napkins when needed and keep silverware polished.
- Reset tables in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate in Pre-Shift meetings and learn new menu items.
- Assist the kitchen in expediting the service process in order to maintain the flow of service.
- Maintain general cleanliness in dining room during service periods.
- Responsible for taking, compiling and delivering and putting away warehouse orders.
- Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Knowledge of and ability to identify menu products.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to operate a glassware washing machine and to re-fill ice bins and beer bins, utilizing ice machines.
- Knowledge of the dish room, including separating silverware, dishes & glassware appropriately
- Candidates must be able to communicate in English, both in written and oral form.
- Ability of simple reading, math, writing and task completion skills is required.
- Must have the following skills: compiling, coordination, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.

Food Runner : ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Communicate with guests professionally, answering questions and offering assistance when possible.
- Possess a strong attention to detail maintaining the cleanliness of the bars, pool, and surrounding areas.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all menus, offering alternatives and suggestive upselling when possible.
- Providing superior service while accurately accommodating all food and beverage requests.
- Helps assist servers, bartenders, bar helpers and kitchen staff in performance of their daily job functions.
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of food service areas and kitchen on a daily basis including before, during, and after shift.
- Accurately and efficiently operate a Point of Sale System (POS), creating checks for all guests appropriately billing, and closing out all transactions.
- Perform specific tasks related to the food runner station and kitchen including organizing, ordering, stocking, food expo, serving, busing and cleaning before, during, and after shift.
- Execute set-up, break down, and daily maintenance of all food service areas and stations.
- Adhere to Health Department standards at all times as well as promoting a neat, clean and organized environment.
- Attend and participate in all meetings as required.
- Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Ability to operate a cash register, calculator, telephone, and credit card machine to complete guest transactions.
- Ability of simple reading and task completion skills is required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Previous hospitality or pool setting experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
- Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry 25lbs or less constantly and 75lbs or less occasionally.
- The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both feet. Team members will constantly have repetitive use of their dominant hand, occasional use of their non-dominant hand, and frequent light grasping motions. Team members will have occasional use of firm/strong grasping motion. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required.

Host: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Greet and seat guests by utilizing department greeting and steps of service.
- Manage reservations including calling and confirming upcoming reservations.
- Manage waitlist by providing accurate wait time estimates.
- Address guest inquires.
- Receive payment from guests in the form of cash, credit cards, and room charges and comp slips; make changes as needed, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed in order to accurately balance all monetary transactions.
- Make deposits/cash drops, complete appropriate cashier paperwork/reports, balance and secure bank.
- Interact with team members and guests in a professional and polite manner including complaints and concerns are effectively handled.
- Communicate special requests with management, service staff, and culinary team.
- Assist the support team to turn tables faster by resetting them quickly and efficiently.
- Take to-go orders and assure the orders are packed with the required condiments.
- Support and maintain Grand Sierra Resort guest service guidelines and other policies and procedures.
- Help maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
