Position: Back of House **Social Required**
Position Available: 1 – 2 Positions
Hourly wage: $13.00 per hour
Overtime: Overtime is possible but it is not guarantee. Anything over 40 hours per week is considered overtime and will be paid 1.5 times
Payroll Period: Paid bi Weekly
Estimated hours per week: 32 hours per week minimum
Number of days per week: Varies
Job prerequisites:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to stand for the duration of your shift. Upper-intermediate English is preferred for this position. Must be willing to work with different types of meat (pork, beef, chicken) and rotate positions throughout the kitchen.
Job Description :
As a Restaurant Worker, you will be asked to work various positions depending on the means of the restaurant. Those positions include Line or Prep Cook and Dishwasher. Your
Host Company will determine the position depending on where they feel you will best fit. Line Cook will be responsible for learning and cooking menu items to order, ensuring the kitchen is clean and stocked throughout the shift, and cleaning at the end of your shift. Prep Cook is responsible for prepping all ingredients for menu items and assisting the kitchen as needed. The dishwasher’s responsibility is to ensure all dishes, silverware, and glasses are
cleaned properly and placed in the designated area of the restaurant.
Line-Cook Job Description
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen
- Help put up all food orders (Sysco and produce)
- Help wash dishes and put them up in appropriate areas
designated in the kitchen
- Helps with all opening and or closing duties
- Works well as a team with others
- Be able to stand for long hours
- Able to lift 50 pounds or more on occasions
- Must be able to multi-task
- Understanding of cooking skills, knife handling, and safety
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high
quality, and in a timely fashion
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Set up stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Ability to work with speed and efficiency
- Fortitude to work in a fast-paced environment
