Job prerequisites:
Must have fluent English. You must have open availability including nights, weekends and holidays. Please do not apply if you have any sensitivities to cleaning chemicals or restrictions that would prevent you from handling certain types of food products. Participants must familiarize them with American currency and customer service. This is a small mountain village. Very rural area. Please confirm participants understand that. In order to streamline arrivals, the host requests that participants arrive on one of the following three dates: May 12th, May 23rd, June 23rd.
Please note that it is a requirement to cross train in all areas of the restaurant
Job description:
In this position, participants will work in a busy ice cream/fast food company doing a variety of duties including ice cream server, cashier, dish washing, order taker at drive thru, order taker at front register (dining room), cleaning restrooms, cleaning windows, cleaning dining room, taking garbage out, grill cook, bringing food to customers, cashing out at window, cleaning outside the store.
Additional tasks may be assigned by the manager. To thrive in this position, flexibility and teamwork are essential. Participants will be cross trained in all areas of the restaurant, they will learn everything that there is to know about DQ. Additional jobs must work around DQ schedule. Schedules will vary on a weekly basis, though the host employer will try to schedule consistently in order to facilitate an additional job, if possible.
