Position: Gift Shop – Retail Associate
Position Available: 1 Position
Hourly wage: $15.00 per hour
Meals details: Participants may be eligible for some meal discounts, ranging between 25-40% depending on years of service.
Bonus comments: 1.50 cents/ hour worked upon completion of contract. Must work to final date.
Must work to last day. *End of contract bonuses are only paid out for regular hours worked in the participant’s primary position. Overtime hours are not included. Should a participant be transferred to a different primary position by a manager, due to the needs of the business, the previous hours worked may be counted. If a participant changes roles voluntarily, the company is under no obligation to pay out the end of contract bonus. If a participant works a second job with the company those hours do not qualify for the bonus program, however the primary role hours are included in the second job hours. Example: If a participant works 40 hours in a week in their primary job, any hours worked in the second job would be paid at the overtime rate that week. Participants must also be in good standing to receive their bonus. Excessive tardiness, poor work performance, or other policy violations will jeopardize qualifying for the bonus. YOU WILL NOT receive your bonus at the end of your contract if you have not provided HR with your social security number.
Job prerequisites:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Advanced English is required. Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must. An interview with the host employer is required for this position.
Job Descriptions:
The Gift Shop position is responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations of the retail shop, stocking inventory, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and assisting guests.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Greet guests entering the gift shop/Liquor shop
Assist guests with choosing items and finding sizes
Prevent loss by theft or breakage Maintain organized and presentable displays
Prepare orders to be shipped through the mail
Handle cash and credit cards to process payments and returns
Assist in performing weekly inventories
Coordinate with Assistant Restaurant Manager to improve product offering based on guest feedback
Ensure guest satisfaction in all aspects of the Gift Shop Assist in Brewery tours
Employer may change position based on skill level, need of the restaurant, or to accommodate hours.
Every employee assists, at times, with dishwasher shifts. It is important to be flexible
