Position: Resort Housekeeper
Position Available: 2 Positions
Hourly wage: $16.00/Hour
Estimated hours: 32 – 40 Average hours per week
Overtime: Sometimes
Meal: Participants receive a 20% discount on store and restaurant items.
Job Description:
- Ensures that the general property appearance is well maintained and orderly.
- Ensures all floors are swept, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed.
- Ensures that all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks kitchen areas with paper products as needed. Ensures all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly.
- Cleans and sanitizes appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold and mildew. Defrosts freezer as needed.
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and places rubber mats down to ensure safety.
- Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.
- Ensures all offices are clean and neat. Empties trash containers as needed.
- Ensures all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed.
- Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager.
- Other duties as assigned. Participants will be cleaning cottages between 200-400 square feet. No linens in rentals, laundry time will not exceed 5 loads of laundry per season. Participants will be using cleaning chemicals in this role. Participants will be doing less than 15% of laundry duties. Participants should have an English level of at least GOOD for this position. Participants will be expected to speak Good English. Cleaning products will contain chemicals. Students may be asked to contribute to projects or tasks outside their primary focus area, including cross-functional or interdisciplinary initiatives. The organization reserves the right to adjust assignments and responsibilities throughout the placement to support student development and meet evolving operational needs.
