Position: Food Runner

Position Available:  1 Position

Hourly wage:  $11.91 plus tips.

Meals: Participants may be eligible for some meal discounts, ranging between 25-40% depending on years of service.

Bonus comments: Bonuses are not guaranteed and are contingent upon work performance. A $750 bonus may be awarded upon successful completion of the contract through the final day, submission of a valid Food Handler’s Card, and provision of a Social Security Number (SSN).

To be eligible, participants must work through the last day of their contract. End-of-contract bonuses are paid only for regular hours worked in the participant’s primary position; overtime hours are excluded. If a manager transfers a participant to a different primary position due to business needs, previously worked hours may still be counted. However, if a participant voluntarily changes roles, the company is not obligated to pay the bonus.

Hours worked in a secondary job with the company do not qualify toward the bonus program. However, hours worked in the primary position are included when calculating overtime rates. For example, if a participant works 40 hours in their primary position in one week, any hours worked in a secondary role will be paid at the overtime rate.

Participants must also remain in good standing to qualify for the bonus. Excessive tardiness, unsatisfactory work performance, or policy violations may result in disqualification. Please note: you will not receive the end-of-contract bonus if HR has not received your Social Security Number

Must work to last day. *End of contract bonuses are only paid out for regular hours worked in the participant’s primary position. Overtime hours are not included. If a participant works a second job with the company those hours do not qualify for the bonus program, however the primary role hours are included in the second job hours. Example: If a participant works 40 hours in a week in their primary job, any hours worked in the second job would be paid at the overtime rate that week. Participants must also be in good standing to receive their bonus. Excessive tardiness, poor work performance, or other policy violations will jeopardize qualifying for the bonus. YOU WILL NOT receive your bonus at the end of your contract if you have not provided HR with your social security number.

Job Prerequisites:

Food Runner

Must be 21yrs or older. Some experience in positions involving customer service or food and beverage service is preferred. Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand on your feet for the duration of your shift. This is a multi-floor establishment and you will be required to climb stairs, carrying dishes, repeatedly. This is a physically demanding position. Advanced English speaking and comprehension skills are required. Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must. An interview with the host employer is required prior to placement.

Food Runner

This is a great entry-level position to gain restaurant experience. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding position where you will earn good tips if you work hard, have a positive attitude, and are a team player. Must be able to climb stairs repeatedly to serve and clear tables on upper levels of restaurant. Running food from the kitchen to the tables. Ability to clearly read food tickets to ensure the right plate is going to the right table. You may also be support for the wait staff. It’s important to stay flexible and open-minded. You will also be support for the wait staff. There are times when your position will change from food runner to busser, depending on the needs of the establishment. If you step in as busser, you will be responsible for clearing guest tables and re-setting them keeping a pace with the flow and needs of the restaurant. Pre-bussing empty plates and glasses from tables, maintaining a clean environment within the restaurant. Additional tasks may be assigned by your manager. No eating allowed while working, limited breaks depending on the needs of the restaurant. Must commit to end of contract date. Job Requirements: Must be 21 years or older to apply.
