Job Description:

Waiter/Waitress: Server Assistants are required to perform various duties: Provide excellent guest service in our restaurants |Serve and refill drinks for guests, setting and clearing tables |Meeting the service, sanitation, safety and environmental company standards|Carry dirty dishes from the dining room to the kitchen dish drop, scrape plates, empty glasses, and assist with washing if needed |Empty garbage, including separating compostable and non-compostable items in the bins provided |Maintain service areas in a clean, organized, and well stocked manner |Assist Servers upon request |Knowledge of menu items for guest questions |Maintain appearance and uniform standards |Be a positive team worker |Declare 100% of cash tips you receive.

Retail Sales: Retail Sales workers sell a wide range of merchandise including books, games, clothing, pottery, and multiple souvenirs. Duties include: Providing excellent, courteous guest service in greeting and assisting customers | Working at the cash register and handling money transactions using the U.S. dollar | Must have knowledge of American currency and be able to count correct change back to the guest, as well as following credit card procedures | Assisting guests with their purchases including suggesting items for purchase (up-sell) | Maintaining store displays – keeping them well stocked, neat, and clean | Maintaining a safe work area by keeping the sale floors clean; including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and trash removal | Assist the Gift Shop Manager with inventory and merchandise displays | Communicate any guest problems or concerns and alert managers of theft | Give accurate, helpful information to guests.

Resort Worker (Position will be assigned upon arrival): As a part of the Hospitality Crew, you will be placed in a kitchen OR housekeeping job. Your job assignment is decided on your start date in Yellowstone and is based on which department is in need of more employees at that time. Both positions are difficult and can be tiring; expect to be working and on your feet for most of your shifts. Kitchen Crew: Dishwashing | Preparing food | Cleaning the kitchen | Serving food in employee & guest cafeterias *If you’re assigned a kitchen crew job, your manager will assign you a more specific role within the kitchen since there are so many different duties. Room Attendant (Housekeeping): Cleaning hotel rooms and guest areas | Removing dirty towels, sheets, and pillowcases for laundry | Replacing clean linens back into room | Cleaning rugs and furniture with a vacuum cleaner | Dusting furniture and equipment | Emptying trash cans and cleaning them inside and out | Cleaning floors with brooms/mops | Using chemical-based products to clean tubs, sinks, countertops, mirrors, toilets, and shower curtains | Replacing trash bags, soaps, bathroom items, and other supplies | Transporting all trash to appropriate dumpsters or recycling areas. You must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays. We are open 7 days a week. Set schedules or days off with friends are not guaranteed and based on the schedule and business needs.

Start-End Date Details:

You will need to arrive in Bozeman, Montana the day BEFORE your start date, so keep that in mind when choosing. It is recommended to fly in early to get errands completed.

You WILL work on your end date, and the day AFTER is when you will take the bus back to Bozeman. The NEXT day is when you should book your flight for. Leaving is a 3-day process. For example, if your end date is October 1, this is the departure schedule: October 1 – Last day of work October 2 – Bus to Bozeman (the bus will arrive in Bozeman in the evening) October 3 – Flight out of Bozeman.

Housing Information

Cost Details: $48 +tax per paycheck

Room & Board fee at most is $233.61 per paycheck (every two weeks)

Room = $47.11 per paycheck

Board = $175.94 per paycheck

Taxes = $10.56 per paycheck

Daily Clinic Fee: $1.14 a day

Amenities: Wireless internet, laundry facilities, utilities and uniforms are included in the Housing cost. Internet kiosks can be used for free and are available in some dorms.

Transportation: Free bus transportation from Bozeman, Montana to the park on arrival and back to Bozeman if you complete your contract.
