Job Description:

• All associates are responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service to customers, consistent operating conditions, and a friendly atmosphere. Values diversity and support in an inclusive environment by embracing the backgrounds and experiences of the team.
• Work may be performed throughout the departments/functions of the store, to include Cashier, Bagger, Deli, Bakery, Produce, Floral, Grocery, Meat, Seafood, Dairy, Frozen Food, and Liquor Store.
• Comply with assigned tasks in a timely and service-oriented manner.
• Based on assigned tasks and function within assigned departments, work may include but is not limited to: stocking product, unloading product, checking product dates, cleaning, organizing, assisting customers, taking groceries to vehicle, collecting grocery carts, preparing food, decorating, packaging product, taking out garbage, cleaning dishes, bagging groceries, sorting product, processing customer transactions and payment at point of sale system.
• All associates are responsible for regular cleaning and sanitation. Any associate may be expected or directed to complete cleaning tasks, including restrooms and breakroom.
• When applicable, associates must maintain financial responsibility in his/her service lane.
• Other tasks and objectives may be required, as assigned by management. Work duties will vary based on the department work is being performed in.
• Winn-Dixie adheres to a strict attendance policy.
• Additionally, all J-1 Exchange Visitors are bound by their work agreements.
