Job description:
Join the dynamic team at The Monument, Rapid City’s premier event venue! As a Concessions & Event Food Service Associate, you’ll support a wide range of exciting events—from concerts and sports games to banquets and catered gatherings. You’ll assist with food preparation, concessions service, event setup, and clean-up duties. This is a fun, fast-paced environment where flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude are key.
Job Duties Include:
Preparing and serving food and beverages in concession stands.
Handling point-of-sale transactions in a polite and professional manner.
Assisting with event setup, including table arrangement and buffet prep.
Stocking food, drinks, and supplies before and during events.
Cleaning and maintaining concession and food service areas Supporting event clean-up and reset for upcoming events. Helping with food plating, beverage service, and buffet maintenance during catered functions.
Providing friendly and attentive service to all guests.

Must be reliable, punctual, and ready to work as scheduled.
Bring a strong work ethic and a positive, guest-friendly attitude.
Teamwork & Flexibility
Work well with others and be open to assisting in different roles as needed.
Be prepared to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Adaptability
Expect variation in work hours and duties based on event schedules and business needs.
Be flexible and understand that hours are not guaranteed; some shifts may be shortened if business levels are low.
Personal Responsibility
Maintain good attendance—missed shifts (even for illness) may affect future scheduling.
Your work schedule may not be the same as your friends or roommates, and you may not have the same days off.
Shifts cannot be missed, started late, or worked with low energy due to any additional jobs you may have.
Shifts cannot be missed for second jobs or online classes.
Your employer is not obligated to offer additional hours to make up for missed hours or shifts.
You may not receive the minimum of 32 hours if you are not available to work the shifts your employer scheduled for you.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced and team-oriented with a focus on hospitality and service. This role is ideal for participants who enjoy being active, working with people, and contributing to exciting live events.
