Position: Shallow Water Lifeguard
Position Available: 1 Position
Hourly wage: $19.00 per hour
Wage comments: Participants are generally scheduled for 32 hours per week, with a required 30-minute unpaid break per shift. In early May and after August 31, shifts are limited to weekends only, which may reduce hours.
Overtime details: Overtime is not available for this position, as shifts are scheduled based on operational needs.

Job Prerequisites: Advanced English proficiency.
- To pass the lifeguard test, participants must complete the following: Swim 50 yards (45.7 meters) continuously using front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both. Swimming on the back or side is not allowed, but swim goggles may be used.
- Safety-minded; remains calm in emergencies.
- First aid and CPR certified.
- Engages in cleaning tasks; frequent movement required in park and hotel areas.
- Comfortable in water; proficient in swimming and standing for extended periods.
- Physically capable of bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, swimming, and climbing multiple flights of stairs.
- Free from allergies affected by pool chemicals.
- Strong vision for monitoring pool areas and identifying risks.
- Adaptable to various assignments and tasks.
- Detail-oriented; works well under pressure and stays focused.
- Urban setting comfortable; responsible for own housing arrangements.
- Available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- Mature, respectful, and consistently punctual.
- Prohibited Behaviors: Time theft (e.g., inactivity while clocked in) is prohibited.
- Throwing items or engaging in unsafe behavior will result in termination.
Job Description :
As a Shallow Water Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests in shallow water areas. You will monitor designated pool areas, enforce park rules, and be prepared to act quickly in emergencies. All lifeguards must complete a mandatory 5-day Starguard ELITE certification program, covering lifeguarding techniques, CPR, first aid, and emergency procedures. Pre-arrival online training must be completed, and participants must pass a pre-water screening test. Certification is contingent upon passing both written and practical exams.
Key responsibilities include: Safeguarding and monitoring the conduct of water park patrons in shallow water areas. Enforcing park policies, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe environment. Performing rescues and providing follow-up care, including the correct use of first aid equipment as required.
Responding rapidly, intelligently, and decisively to emergencies in line with established procedures.
Remaining vigilant to prevent accidents, reduce risks, and respond to any safety concerns. Administering CPR and first aid as needed, following specific incident protocols. Completing written reports for all accidents or incidents.
Keeping all safety practices and requirements updated and in compliance. Attending all scheduled in-service training sessions.
Offering professional customer service, managing patron questions, and resolving minor conflicts when necessary. Operating all equipment safely and reporting any unsafe conditions to park leadership. Communicating with guests in a friendly, courteous manner, answering questions, resolving issues, and enforcing park policies.
Performing any additional duties as assigned to support park operations.
