Job Prerequisites:
Primary Responsibilities (Cook):
- Prepare and cook food according to the menu, ensuring all dishes meet restaurant standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, fryers, and stovetops, while maintaining proper temperature control.
- Handle multiple food orders at the same time and ensure accuracy and timely preparation, especially during peak hours.
- Assist with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining an organized cooking and prep area.
- Maintain a calm, focused, and efficient demeanor in high-pressure situations, particularly during busy times.
- Follow all kitchen and food safety protocols to maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment.
- Adapt to various tasks and support overall kitchen operations as needed.
- Ensure all orders are completed on time and consistently meet quality standards.
- Assist with basic inventory management, checking stock levels, and notifying management of any shortages.
Additional Responsibilities (as needed):
- Assist in the dishwashing station, ensuring that utensils, pots, pans, and dishes are cleaned and sanitized.
- Help with cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, sanitizing mats, and maintaining high- touch areas in the kitchen.
- Assist with the regular cleaning and restocking of bathrooms to ensure they remain clean and presentable for guests.
Skills Required:
- Strong English language skills for clear communication with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, especially during peak hours.
- Willingness to work in outdoor conditions, including high temperatures and humidity.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and safely lift up to 25 pounds (approximately 11 kg).
Teamwork Expectation:
- This is a teamwork-focused environment. Team members are expected to assist with tasks
- outside their primary cooking duties when needed to support the overall operation of the club.

Job Description:
As a member of the Kitchen Staff at Sirens Bar & Grill, a busy outdoor private club, your primary responsibility will be cleaning and restocking dishes. Teamwork is very important, and all staff members are expected to support the overall success of the kitchen. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, especially during peak hours. The work is physically demanding, and the kitchen is outdoors with high temperatures during the summer.
This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, pots, pans, glassware, and utensils to support a safe and hygienic work environment. Key duties include scraping, stacking, and washing dishware, operating and maintaining dishwashing quipment, and follow a regular cleaning schedule. Additional responsibilities include removing waste and recyclables, restocking cleaned items, and assisting kitchen staff with basic prep work as needed.
The position also involves maintaining a clean and organized workstation, assisting with stocking and closing tasks, and supporting co-workers during busy times. All tasks must be performed with a sense of urgency while following safety and sanitation practices and company policies. Flexibility to assist with other reasonable duties as assigned by management is expected.
Successful candidates should be comfortable standing for long periods, working in a wet environment with exposure to hot water, and handling soiled dishes while maintaining professionalism. A strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential. Participants must be available to work on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as the restaurant is only open on these days.
