Position: Retail Sales Associate

Hourly wage: $18.00 per hour
Estimated hours per week: 32-40
Job Description:
As a retail sales associate, participants will be doing the following activities as part of their job:
– Stocking and restocking merchandise
– Working at the cash desk at customer checkout
– Assisting customers with merchandise
– Answering questions and helping customers with any assistance they need
– “Straightening up” and cleaning the store before and after opening and when few customers are in the store.
– Setting up displays
– Arranging merchandise
– Stamping and tagging prices on merchandise.
– Keeping a record of sales
– Prepare inventory of stock
– Order merchandise
Participants must have a working knowledge of U.S. currency. They must be friendly and courteous to customers and have excellent customer service skills.
Participants will be using cleaning chemicals and will be provided gloves for their safety.
Job Benefits: If participants remain on program until the final date of their program shown on their DS-2019 form, they will receive a refund of their rent in the amount of $20 for each week worked.
