Position: Bartender
Position Available: 1 Position (Female Only)
Hourly wage: $19.00 per hour
Tips: No- The restaurant offers it staff competitive wages and does not accept tips. It has a tip free culture
Estimated hours per day: 32 hours weekly average
Meals details: Lunch and dinner meals are offered at a highly discounted rate for all team members.
Job prerequisites: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, have proficient English conversational skills, and be at least 21 years of age. Previous bartending or restaurant experience is strongly preferred. Open availability, including nights, weekends and holidays is a must. Must have previously been on the SWTprogram before and have previous experience working as a bartender. Please ensure participants are aware that the uniform cost is $250 taken out over 3 weeks from payroll.
Job Descriptions: Bartender primary job responsibilities include mixing and serving drinks to restaurant and customer standards. This position requires strong multitasking skills as you will be simultaneously making drinks, answering customer questions, handling payments, washing and stocking glassware, keeping the bar area clean, taking note of inventory, checking IDs and ensuring compliance with Maine alcohol laws all in a fast-paced environment. You will need to wipe down the bar counter regularly, sweep and mop the floors and take out the trash, as necessary. Depending on business needs you may be asked to help the front of house staff, as well.
