Bonus:
Employee must meet the following requirements to receive UP TO $300 end of season bonus:
▪ Be in good standing with the company based on the managers review and the employee’s write up(s).
▪ Have worked a minimum of 625 hours throughout the full season (May 23rd – September 7th, 2026).
▪ Work through and on September 7th, 2026.
▪ Work Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend. Arrive at the PPM office before May 20th, 2026.
▪ Eligibility for the end-of-season bonus is contingent upon completing the program in its entirety
▪ Late arrivals and/or early departures will be considered on a case-by-case basis and subject to approval.
Job Prerequisites:
- All candidates must take and pass an American Red Cross or Jeff Ellis & Associates lifeguard training certification, First Aid, and CPR for the professional rescuer. If the course is not available in the participant’s home country, one will be provided in the USA depending on availability of classes between May 4th, 2026 – May 15th, 2026.
- Course length: 2-3 days (Blended learning options may be possible)
- Lifeguards course cost: $244.
Course requirements:
- Course requirements will be subject to specific certification requirements between American Red Cross and Jeff Ellis & Associates Professional Lifeguard Certification.
- Must be able to swim 100 – 300 meters (not timed) using both freestyle and breaststroke (subject to specific certification).
- Must be able to retrieve a 5-kilogram brick from a 3-meter depth and swim with it above the water approximately o 20 meters to the pool edge and climb out of the pool unassisted.
- Must be able to pass the written & skills tests, which are based on the material covered during the course.
Job Description:
All candidates must speak English fluently to remain employed with Premier Pool Management, Inc (PPM). While on duty all lifeguards employed by PPM must be able to perform the following tasks:
- Understand and accept the primary responsibility is the safety of the pool patrons and enforce all the pool rules.
- Receive appropriate training on how to safely handle hazardous chemicals and how to reduce disease transmission from bloodborne pathogens.
- Ensure patron safety at all times and keep pool area and restrooms clean and clear of debris.
- Employees are not permitted to leave their workplace without authorization.
- Maintain filtration system & pool chemistry and record in daily logbook every hour and as required.
- Follow all company/property guidelines pertaining to safety and operations.
- Complete assigned shift(s) from beginning to end, including during inclement weather conditions, unless informed otherwise by the supervisor.
- Is responsible for reading, understanding, and following the rules and regulations found in the PPM Guard Manual located in the pool’s logbook.
- Understand that in the event when using any pool-related chemicals while on duty I must wear an apron, gloves, and goggles. If safety items are not found or available at the worksite location it is responsibility to notify the supervisor.
- Accepts that lifeguard positions will have exposure to chlorine, bromine, and other chemicals necessary for safe pool operation.
- Participants are not permitted to change or adjust the pool schedule without written consent from their regional manager. This includes start times, break times, and end times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- No personal cell phones or communication devices are allowed while on duty unless it is duty related. Texting and talking on the phone is not permitted.
- All participants who are employed by PPM for the Work and Travel Program must complete the entire program unless prior authorization is granted for early departure at the point of the initial interview.
- Lifeguard positions will be indoors and/or outdoors depending on the worksite. Possible prolonged exposure to direct sunlight if the worksite is outdoors.
- All participants are required to use PPM timekeeping software with GPS location active via use of smartphone. All clock in/out location must be on physical pool deck only.
- Report to work no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled shift.
- Always be in lifeguard uniform, have rescue tube with its strap aross the chest, carry a hip pack, a whistle, wear sun protection and sunglasses (if outside). Be ready to protect the people in the water and offer aid when necessary.
- Manage the behavior of patrons and co-workers to prevent unsafe activities.
- Notify patrons of safety hazards (Warn swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforce pool regulations and water safety policies).
- Have a positive outlook and attitude when enforcing pool rules.
- Respond to emergencies according to the American Red Cross and/or Jeff Ellis training standards; execute rescues and First Aid including spinal injury management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Ensure the pool area is ready for opening and closing each day as required by the property and PPM. Manage necessary facility activities and control entry by monitoring the use of pool and guest passes.
- Maintain a clean and safe facility to include the pool deck, restrooms, changing facilities, tiles, skimmers, windows, guardroom, and trash receptacles. Requirements can vary from site to site.
- Be in an elevated position or lifeguard chair, standing or patrolling at the edge of the pool to see all parts of the assigned zone, including the bottom of the pool. If not possible to see any area because of glare or obstruction, move the position to be able to see the entire zone. Before taking the position, and before leaving your area, perform a complete check of the assigned zone making sure the bottom of the pool is clear.
- Make sound judgement when responding, addressing, and solving concerns and complaints from patrons and property managers.
- Escalate to supervisors and regional managers for guidance and support regarding facility operations, concerns, and emergencies.
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods during work shifts. Must be able to lift and move items up to 25 kg.
- Perform all required duties safely.

Start Date: May 23rd, 2026
Arrival Date: Candidates who need the American Red Cross or Jeff Ellis & Associates lifeguard training in the U.S. must arrive between May 4th, 2026 – May 15th, 2026, for lifeguard training course. Pre-opening training for certified lifeguards will be on May 21st and May 22nd.
