Cultural exchange activities
Gulf Shores is a city on Alabama’s Gulf Coast. Its Gulf State Park has beaches, trails and a pier, plus a golf course and a zip line over the dunes. To the west, sea turtles and migratory birds thrive among the coastal habitats of Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. Farther west, 19th-century Fort Morgan guards Mobile Bay. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo offers hands-on encounters with lemurs, kangaroos and sloths. Gulf Shores is the ultimate beach lover’s destination. The turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico are amazingly warm, and its white sands are some of the softest in the world. Relax after a day of fun at a luxurious beachfront condominium, a color beach house, or a trusted nationally branded hotel.
You’ll love spending time on the water, deep sea or pier fishing, parasailing, or enjoying a dolphin cruise, but don’t miss opportunities to explore beyond the shore. Favorite activities include hiking or biking the backcountry trail, kayaking the back bays, golfing, fun-filled attractions and renowned events. The dining options are endless here, including the freshest Gulf seafood possible. In fact, many of our restaurants will cook what you catch on your fishing excursion.
Mild temperatures, warm water, and colorful sunsets are just the beginning of what makes fall on Alabama’s beaches so grand.
