Hourly wage: $17.00 per hour + tips
Estimated hours per day: 32 hours per week

Job Prerequisites:
- Language skills required:Excellent
- Participant will bring/buy dark blue jeans (no rips, tears or logo); white leather shoes – cleanable surface, no mesh, non-slip preferred; black tee shirt or long-sleeved black tee;nothing baggy; no hoodies, no logos, no reflective materials.
- Employer provides apron.
- Participants should be neat and clean when coming to work.
- Participants should ask their supervisor if they have a question about what is suitable.
- Participants will be using cleaning chemicals.
- Participants will be handling pork products.
- Participant will be lifting 40 lbs throughout shift.
- Participants will earn tips in this position; employer will apply tip credit to equal minimum wage of Chicago, Illinois ($16.20) if necessary.
Job Description :
Cashier/Baristas are responsible for preparing coffee, espresso, tea, other beverages; also processing guests’ payment, ringing food and beverage items for guests, collection of payment, and ensuring all aspects of professional service and guest satisfaction.
NOTE: Assignment to role is based on business need and skills.
Essential Functions
- Accurately ring up food and beverage items and process guest payments.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, and other beverages to guests.
- Accurately record and account for all items ordered, process payments, and balance all sales/receipts in compliance with restaurant policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction.
- Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Work in a confined, crowded space with variable noise and temperature levels.
- Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven, or slick surfaces.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests’ needs.
- Greet guests with a warm, sincere smile.
- Use tact and good judgment when dealing with guest challenges, responding with patience and courtesy.
- Assist the service team with all food and beverage service.
- Follow all steps of service.
- Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and handle special orders/restrictions.
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook.
English Required skills: Advanced (A, B+, B)

Meal discount information: Employees receive a discount on menu items on days they are working; meals need to be eaten before or after their shift (employees are not to clock-in and then order).
