Position: Cashier/Host – *RETURNEE*
Position Available: 1 Position
Hourly wage: $16.00 per hour
Tips: Tips are possible but not guaranteed.
Estimated hours per day: 6-8
Meals details: Meals are discounted for employees.
Job prerequisites:
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
- Previous customer service experience in a high volume operation preferred
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- Excellent customer service/communication skills
- Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
- Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
- Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items (i.e., flatware, plates, cups, glasses), bend, stoop and twist while carrying restaurant stock to and from supply areas; able to reach across tables; able to stand and walk for up to four hours; able to use hand motions when cleaning and wiping menus and table tops
- Must be able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing • Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
- Able to work at a fast pace in an often crowded/noisy environment
- Must be able to maintain a neat, well-groomed, professional appearance and uphold the company appearance standards
- Must maintain good posture and poise throughout shift
Job Descriptions:
Your daily responsibilities include: Provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to restaurant guests and restaurant staff. Greets, and makes welcome, each guest entering restaurant Seats guests in restaurant as per specified rotation requirements Takes guests orders for to-go food or retail items and enters them in the POS system Maintains proper seating and reservation documentation Monitors restaurant for table availability Keeps designated working area clean and organized, wipes and assists in maintaining cleanliness of dining room, including cashiering area, as necessary or required, in accordance with established health and safety standards Assists wait staff and bus persons in their duties (e.g., refill water glasses and coffee cups, helps pre-bus and bus tables, attend to guest needs) as necessary, or required Complete all assigned closing duties at end of shift Knows and promotes current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas Thanks customers, invites them back, wishes them luck and makes it easy for them to get back in play
