Union Dues: The position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement and you are required to pay union dues of $7 per month, plus 2.5% of your paycheck. This is subject to change without notice.

- You must arrive on Monday (March 3, March 10, March 17, or April 7) at the KONA airport. NO Saturday or Sunday arrivals allowed

- No allergy to cleaning products or physical limitations to prevent you from doing your job.
- You must complete the online employer application before arriving In the USA. Your CHI Program Coordinator will be sending the link to you. If you do not receive it, please reach out to her and ask for it.
- Any tattoos MUST be approved by your employer before you will be hired. Please send a picture of your tattoo to CHI (your CHI interviewer, Regional Manager, or CHI Program Coordinator).
Job Description :

This position is very fast-paced! Ensure servers have dishes/silverware required & guests have clean dishes. Must like people & have a great attitude; you will be working directly with guests. Sort/stack dishes; load/unload the dishwasher. Sort/stack/store all cleaned items in an organized & safe manner. Ensure all broken/chipped items are removed from circulation & inventoried. Ensure all floors are dry & clean at all times. Must be able to remain calm. Must lift up to 30 lbs (14 kg), as well as bend, kneel & stand for the entire shift & be quick on your feet. You may be asked to work in other departments on an occasional basis.
You can get a Tuberculosis (TB) test completed in your home country. It is called QuantiFERON®-TB Gold In-Tube test (QFT-GIT). It is only done at a laboratory, not a doctor’s office. This is not a skin test. Look it up online and reach out to a Medical Laboratory locally to inquire if you can get this done before coming to the USA. The certificate must contain your legal full name (as it is written in your passport) and your date of birth. If the certificate is missing either item it will not be accepted. You must bring the certificate they give you with you and send a photo of it to your CHI Program Coordinator at least 14 days before arrival. If you do not, you will be scheduled for the TB test in Hawaii and may have a fee.
Must be dependable, hard-working, friendly, and a very trustworthy and honest individual. Positions require attention to detail, punctuality, and a great service attitude & team spirit. Flexible to help in other positions as requested. Additional tasks as requested by management. You will be working all weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), all holidays, and evening shifts. If you call out sick or miss shifts, your employer is not required to schedule any additional shifts that week for you. You can not miss shifts due to any other jobs or online classes while working at your primary job. You may not work the same shifts as your friends. Nor will you have the same days off as your friends. No job, or hours at a job, can be 100% guaranteed. Regardless of what your work contract states, there is always a possibility that you will work more or fewer hours. Some days will be slower than others.
IMPORTANT BE PREPARED:
– You must bring with you $1,000 US dollars to pay upon arrival to your employer ($500 security deposit and $500 + tax for your first months’ rent)
– You must complete the online Hilton Waikoloa application BEFORE you fly to the USA
– You must complete online your initial social security card application BEFORE you fly to the USA
– If you can get your QuantiFERON®-TB Gold In-Tube test (QFT-GIT) completed in your home country. Please do so and send your certificate to CHI and bring it with you to give to your employer. Otherwise, you must have the test completed in Hawaii before attending Orientation.
If you do not complete these 4 tasks, you will not be placed on the work schedule until they are done. Your CHI Program Coordinator is going to ask for updates and expect you, our adult participants, to respond with updates.
