Position: Housekeeping/Laundry

Position Available: 2 Positions (Female Only)

Hourly wage: $15.00 per hour

Overtime Detail: Overtime MIGHT BE available but not guaranteed

Estimated hours: 32 – 40 Average hours per week

Job Prerequisites:

• Must be able to speak and understand English at an Intermediate or Upper Intermediate level.
• Must be prepared for moderate to heavy physical work including lifting, bending, stretching, pushing, and pulling heavy objects.
• Must be able to clean rooms quickly and efficiently within a standard time limit.
• Must be prepared to work a flexible schedule that has high hours during peak business and low hours during slow weeks.
• Must maintain good personal hygiene (daily shower/bath and use of deodorant).
• Must not have visible tattoos or facial piercings while working.
• Must wear the required uniform, including black or khaki/tan pants, tuck-in white shirts, black or brown belt, and comfortable shoes (no sandals).
• Must not use a personal cell phone while working.

Job Description:

Housekeeping

• Clean and stock guestrooms and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
• Clean all areas of the bathroom, including bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces.
• Make beds.
• Dust, vacuum, and wash all surfaces, windows, and floors.
• Restock all guest amenities.
• Clean all wastebaskets, mirrors, shelves, doorframes, window frames, and baseboards.
• Spray air freshener.
• Must be able to complete each room in the standard time-per-room set by the location.

Laundry Duties

• Work in the Laundry and operate the washer/dryer.
• Collect linen from departed guestrooms and restock clean linen.
• Separate, wash, dry, and fold sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and other items.
• Remove stains from items using the correct procedures.
• Keep the laundry room and equipment clean and orderly.
• Report any machine problems to the supervisor.

General & Safety Duties

• This job involves moderate to heavy lifting, bending, stretching, pushing, and pulling of medium to heavy objects.
• Provide excellent customer service by being familiar with the property and the area to help guests with things to do and see in the Black Hills.
• Make notes for the maintenance crew about items that need to be fixed in cleaned areas.
• No personal cell phone use is allowed while working.
• Work hours depend on weather, worksite occupancy, and employee attendance
