Job Description : Guest Room Attendants have a comprehensive set of duties aimed at maintaining guest room cleanliness and ensuring a comfortable environment. These responsibilities encompass tasks such as the removal and replacement of used linens, bed-making, arranging furniture, vacuuming, trash removal, and surface wiping. They perform thorough bathroom cleaning, which includes scrubbing basins, bathtubs, showers, doors, toilets, and floors. They also handle the replenishment of essential items like ashtrays, shampoos, soaps, and tissues. They play a vital role in reporting rooms requiring repair and maintaining records of room status (clean/unclean, vacant/occupied). Guest Room Attendants need to be willing to work in environments with potential exposure to factors like noise, dust, and cigarette smoke, making it essential that they do not have allergies. In addition to room cleaning, they may be assigned to deep clean, sanitize, and maintain public and employee areas within the Environmental Services Department (EVS). This entails operating and maintaining equipment for tasks such as carpet cleaning and floor scrubbing. They are also responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of public spaces, responding to spills and immediate cleaning needs, and ensuring the safety of guests and employees by using wet floor signs. Efficiency and attention to detail are crucial qualities, as they are expected to work swiftly without compromising quality while cleaning a significant number of rooms (typically 14 or more on their own). For those in employment at Hard Rock, union membership is mandatory, with an initiation fee of $100 followed by a $53.00 monthly deduction from paychecks.”
Responsibilities :
- Service guest rooms and bathrooms using cleaning agents and equipment.
- Remove, inventory and replace soiled linens and prepare rooms for guest arrivals.
- Organize and replenish guest room amenities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly cart with adequate supplies.
- Deep clean, sanitize, and maintain attractive front and back of house spaces.
- Operate and keep clean equipment, which is used for sweeping, shampooing carpets.
- Recognize and respond to spills or other calls which require immediate attention.
- Use wet floor signs to ensure guest and employee safety around wet areas, spills.
- Follow internal procedures for signing in and out equipment, radios, and master keys.
- Promote positive guest and team member relations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your manager
