Hourly wage: $15.00 per hour

Estimated hours per week: Average 32 – 40 hours per week

Job Prerequisites:

• Must be friendly and outgoing to all guests and visitors of the hotel, while upholding the quality standards of Grand Hotel.
• Capable of handling cash and making correct change.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Employee is required to stand for long periods of time and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
• You must bathe every day and wear deodorant.
• The employer will give you specific grooming guidelines during orientation.
• US employers usually have restrictions on piercings, tattoos, facial hair, and unnatural hair colors. If any of these apply to you, you should consult with the host regarding any concerns before accepting the placement offer.

Job Description:

• You will sell admission tickets to all visitors who are not registered hotel guests and wish to tour the Grand Hotel.
• You must courteously greet all visitors and assist with information and directions.
• You will retrieve the cash bank and admission tickets from the accounting office at the start of your shift.
• The job involves cash management and ticket control, as well as monitoring traffic flow.
• You must provide information to all visitors about where they are and are not allowed to tour.
• You are responsible for enforcing the Grand Hotel’s guest dress policy.
• You need to keep accurate detailed records of all ticket sales.
• You must properly tabulate each transaction and provide accurate change.
• At the end of your shift, you will return the cash bank and all unused admission tickets to the accounting office.
• Other duties may be assigned.

English Required skills: Upper Intermediate – Advanced (A, B+, B ONLY)
