Job Descriptions:

As a Ghirardelli team member, you may work at any San Francisco location, including the flagship Ghirardelli Square store, the Palace Hotel, or Oracle Park. This is a customer-facing, fast-paced role that requires excellent customer service skills, flexibility, and a strong work ethic. Participants must be adaptable and prepared to rotate between different positions based on business needs.

You are expected to maintain a professional, friendly attitude at all times and work cooperatively with team members in a busy retail and food service environment.

Primary Responsibilities General Duties (All Roles) Provide friendly, engaging, and professional customer service to guests and coworkers Stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift Lift and carry items weighing approximately 10–35 lbs (4–15 kg) regularly Handle U.S. currency, credit card transactions, and point-of-sale systems accurately Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout the shift Follow San Francisco waste-sorting requirements (compost, recycling, trash)

Role-Specific Duties Chocolatier / Stocker Stock merchandise Assist with unloading deliveries (3 times per week) Lift cases of chocolate:10–35 lbs (4–15 kg)

Retail Sales / Greeter Greet guests and assist with merchandise selection Answer questions about chocolate products and promotions

Fountain / Busser Prepare ice cream sundaes and coffee beverages Clean and reset tables, take out trash, mop floors, and maintain dining areas

Cashier Process transactions accurately Deliver efficient, friendly service during high-volume periods Oracle Park Concession Stand Serve food and beverages during San Francisco Giants home games Provide high-level customer service in a stadium environment

Be prepared for reduced hours during non-game periods

Work Schedule 4–5 workdays per week 6–8 hours per shift (includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break) Must work weekends (Friday–Sunday), evenings, and all holidays Schedules and days off vary and will not align with friends’ schedules Hours may fluctuate based on business demand

Job Requirements Must pass a drug test Physically able to stand, lift, bend, and perform repetitive tasks Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Work Environment & Expectations Dependable, reliable, and punctual at all times Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail Team-oriented with a willingness to assist in other roles as assigned Flexible to work across multiple locations, including Oracle Park Shifts cannot be missed due to other jobs or online classes Absences may limit additional shifts during the same workweek Hours and schedules are not guaranteed; early dismissal may occur during slow periods

Additional Considerations Housing: Participants must secure their own housing in San Francisco Estimated monthly cost: $600–$1,000 Transportation: A bus pass is required for travel to Oracle Park
