Job Description :

As a Ghirardelli team member, you may work at any of the San Francisco locations, including the flagship store, Palace Hotel, or Oracle Park. This role is customer-facing and fast-paced,requiring excellent customer service, friendliness, and adaptability. You will work in a variety of positions, each with specific duties as described below. Dependability, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude in all interactions with customers and teammates are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

General Duties (for all roles):

  • Friendly and engaging with guests and coworkers, always providing excellent customer service.
  • Performing physical tasks such as standing for up to 8 hours, lifting items up to 10-30 lbs (4- 13 kg) regularly, and stocking merchandise.
  • Handling American currency for cash transactions, credit card transactions and point of sale.
  • Keeping your station and surroundings clean and sanitary throughout your shift, including frequent cleaning of counters and surfaces.
  • Sorting waste into compost, recycling, and trash, per San Francisco’s sustainability guidelines.

Role-Specific Duties:

  • Chocolatier-Stocker: Pre-pack chocolate, stock merchandise, assist with heavy lifting of cases (females: 10-35 lbs/4-15 kg, males: 50-75 lbs/22-34 kg), and unload trucks three times weekly.
  • Retail Sales/Greeter: Engage guests with knowledge of chocolate merchandise, answer questions, and assist with their needs.
  • Fountain/Bussers: Prepare ice cream sundaes and coffee drinks, clean tables, take out the trash, mop floors, and bus tables.
  • Cashiers: Provide excellent customer service and handle transactions accurately.
  • Oracle Park Concession Stand: Serve food in a concession stand during home games, providing high-level customer service. Be prepared for fewer work hours during off-game periods.

Work Schedule: Expect 4-5 scheduled work days each week, working 6-8 hours per day. You will work on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and evening shifts. Shifts and days off will vary; they may not align with friends or personal schedules.

English Required skills: Advanced (A, B+, B) only
