Wage comments: This is an outdoor position and may be subject to weather-related closures, potentially impacting minimum hours.
Overtime: Slight
Overtime details: Overtime is not guaranteed and only authorized on a as needed basis. After 40 hours overtime will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times wage.
Estimated hours per day: 32 hours weekly minimum ( Effort, Attendance )

Job prerequisites:
- Participants must be able to understand and communicate effectively in English to interact with guests and follow instructions.
- Custodial attendants must prioritize safety and remain focused on preventing and addressing any potential hazards in the park.
- Participants must be physically active and capable of prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting up to 50 lbs (22 kg) as part of their daily tasks.
- Attendants should be prepared to actively engage in cleaning duties, including handling waste and maintaining the cleanliness of restrooms, public spaces, and trash receptacles.
- Participants must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including intense sun, heat, humidity, rain, or sudden temperature changes.
- Custodial attendants must demonstrate a willingness to accept assignments from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members.
- Maintaining high cleanliness and sanitation standards requires focus and thoroughness.
- Attendants must work well in a fast-paced environment, including handling difficult or frustrated guests while remaining calm and professional.
- Participants must interact with guests in a friendly, respectful, and helpful manner.
- Participants must be observant to identify potential issues or hazards in the park.
- Participants must demonstrate maturity, dependability, and punctuality, maintaining regular attendance and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Participants must be willing to adapt to tasks that may not be specifically outlined in the job description.
- Custodial attendants should take initiative to ensure all areas of the park meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Participants should be prepared for the unique experience of working in Old Forge, New York, a small-town environment with its own pace and community dynamics.
- Custodial attendants must be available to work on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays as required.
Job Description :
Enchanted Forest Water Safari, located in Old Forge, New York, is hiring custodial attendants to maintain cleanliness throughout the park and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all guests. This role is best suited for individuals who enjoy structured tasks, physical activity, and contributing to a team that enhances the guest experience. Below are the responsibilities and expectations for this position:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular cleaning, restocking, and sanitation of restroom facilities throughout the park.
- Ensure all buildings and outdoor areas remain clean, safe, and orderly by performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, emptying trash bins, and wiping surfaces.
- Follow safe work procedures at all times and promptly report or address hazardous situations.
- Provide assistance to guests
English Required skills: Upper Intermediate (A, B+, B only)
Start Date: May 7th – June 7th, 2025
End Date: September 2nd – 7th, 2025
