Position:  Prep Cook

Position Available: 2 Positions

Hourly wage: $15.00 per Hour

Estimated hours per week: 32 – 40 Average Hours

Job Prerequisites:

**Final years students only**

• Candidate Criteria: We seek upbeat, positive candidates with a high level of Advanced and strong academic performance (minimum GPA of 80%). Please note we do not place groups larger than two students with the same host company, nor do we accommodate romantic couples or mixed-gender housing for couple
• Advance English.
• Employers want excellent comprehension, good conversational English and reading.
• Must be mature and responsible.

Prep Cook:

• Previous experience required
• Must be outgoing, friendly.
• Students must be willing to clean and remove rubbish
• Must speak and read English on an advanced level.

Job Description:

• Prepare ingredients such as washing, cutting, slicing, and measuring according to recipes.
• Assist chefs by completing basic cooking tasks like prepping sauces, marinades, and simple dishes.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines in the kitchen.
• Maintain a clean and organized prep station throughout the shift.
• Label, store, and rotate food items properly to ensure freshness.
• Set up cooking stations with required ingredients and tools before service.
• Monitor ingredient levels and inform kitchen supervisors when supplies are running low.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, tools, and work surfaces.
• Support the kitchen team during busy periods with any additional tasks needed.

English Required skills: Upper Intermediate – Advanced (A, B+, B ONLY)

Start Date: May 7^th – June 15^th, 2026

End Date: September 7th, 2026

Meals: Yes – $50 per week in Employee Café for specific positions (Optional)
