Job Description :

Resort Worker – Position will be assigned: This position will support the Cedar Point Resort Operation in Housekeeping and then rotate to work at Cedar Point as a Ride Operator when the park opens. Housekeeping Attendants are responsible for providing a clean environment in all areas of Cedar Point Resorts. Tasks include dusting, vacuuming, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and mopping floors. Ride Operator are responsible for the safe operation of rides including, screening guests, checking restraints, and operating attractions.

General Food and Beverage Worker: Food and Beverage Associates are required to operate a point of sale, interact with guests, prepare and serve food to guests, general cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping floors, and washing dishes. This role requires a high level of guest interaction and friendly customer service. Associate may be required to serve pork products and alcohol. This position requires using cleaning chemicals.

Lifeguard: Working as a Lifeguard means ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests at the pools in our Resorts and at Cedar Point Shores Waterpark. As a Lifeguard, you will:

  • Complete training and meet the standards of the Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program, which includes first aid, CPR, water rescue skills, and spinal injury management.
  • Monitor and enforce waterpark rules across pools, slides, and the lazy river to maintain a safe and fun environment.
  • Learn to properly use, maintain, and store rescue equipment.
  • Screen guests to ensure they meet all rider requirements — such as height, weight, and physical restrictions.
  • Clearly communicate and demonstrate attraction rules and proper rider positioning through verbal instructions and demonstrations.
  • Utilize dispatch systems effectively, including lights, hand signals, phones, and whistles to coordinate with other attendants and lifeguards.
  • Attend ongoing training sessions to maintain valid certification through in-service, preservice, and audit programs.
  • Report any unsafe or unsanitary conditions to Aquatics Management promptly.

This is a highly guest-facing position that requires above-average English communication skills.

Ride Operator: Working as a Ride Operator means ensuring the safe and efficient operation of rides while maintaining focus on both the ride area and guest experience. As a Ride Operator, you will:

  • Verify that all riders are properly seated and safety restraints are secure before every ride cycle.
  • Operate ride control systems, which may vary in complexity depending on the attraction.
  • Memorize and deliver scripted safety announcements clearly and confidently over a microphone.
  • Screen riders to ensure they meet all ride requirements, including height, weight, and safety policies regarding loose articles and ride admission.
  • Maintain a professional, cheerful, and welcoming attitude while engaging with guests at all times.
  • Conduct pre-opening and closing inspections to ensure each ride is safe, secure, and clean.
  • Stay alert, attentive, and proactive in anticipating guest needs to provide a safe and enjoyable experience.

Important: For safety reasons, personal phones are not permitted while on duty. Possession or use of a phone while clocked in will result in immediate termination.

  • This is a high guest-facing position, requiring above-average English communication skills.
  • Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screening upon arrival to Cedar Point.
