Position: General Food and Beverage Worker
Position Available: 3 Positions
Hourly wage: $12.50 per hour
Estimated hours per week: 32 hours per week
Job Description :
Food & Beverage Associate’s general job duties include serving food and beverages to guests. This position requires speaking English on a regular basis to take orders, answer questions about menu items, and have general conversations with guests about the park.
Must be friendly, smile, and like to be around people. Associates may be assigned to work with a team or independently. This position also involves food preparation, some cooking, general cleaning, use of register/point of sale, and other duties as assigned. This role does not accept tips. Food & Beverage Associates make guests happy by delivering amazing experiences and helping them create lifelong memories. Interact with different people of all ages and backgrounds. Gain skills, knowledge, and experience. Provide excellent customer service by being friendly, attentive, and responsive to guest needs and requests.

Carowinds operates on weekends during the months of March, April, and May. Associates can expect to work 3-4 days a week during these months, but can expect 5 days of work during peak Summer months of June through August. In September and October, the park operates primarily on weekends and participants will work 3-4 days a week.
Participants may be scheduled while the park is not open and assigned in different locations or roles outside of their usual assignment. This may include general cleanliness tasks, or event preparation. Scheduled hours may be changed when operations are impacted by weather. Associates will be using cleaning chemicals. Associates may be handling pork and alcohol products Positions are available throughout several indoor and outdoor Food and Beverage restaurants, snack stands, or carts. Associates will be assigned their location by their manager. Temperatures in North Carolina can be very hot and humid in the summer. Students will need to be able to stand for an entire shift. **Participants are allowed to arrive and check in to housing up to 2 days before their start date. Program length must be a minimum of 10 weeks in length.**
