Bonus: Yes
Bonus comments: Bonus of $1 per hour for every total hour worked. Bonus is based on hours worked, attitude, work performance, being a team player and staying and working through your final end date you committed to for the season.
Estimated hours per day: 8 – 10 hours per day
Number of days per week: 4 – 5 days per week
Job Prerequisites:
Must know how to ride a bike & be athletic. Able to give outstanding customer service. You need to stay until your Job Offer placement end date.
Must be good at riding a bike. This is a very fast-paced, physically hard job. Requires a lot of stamina to work a 10-hr shift. May work an additional job but you need to stay at this employer until your Job Offer placement end date.
Job Description :
As a Customer Associate working for us in a busy bike rental shop in San Francisco, you will assist customers with renting bikes, provide information on popular routes, and ensure bikes are maintained and ready for use. This is a fast-paced role where you will interact with visitors from all over the world, sometimes renting upwards of 1,500 bikes per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with bike rentals.
- Explain bike routes and provide safety guidelines.
- Process payments and complete rental paperwork.
- Inspect and maintain bikes for safety and quality.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Stand in front of the store to promote bike rentals to passersby.
- Engage with potential customers and answer questions about rental options.
- Focus on maintaining bikes, presenting them to customers, ensuring a proper fit, and addressing any questions.
- Prepare bikes for rent, including cleaning and removing them from racks.
- Uphold safety standards and ensure all equipment is ready for use.
- Maintain general cleanliness of the shop, breakrooms, and bathrooms, and organize bikes and other equipment.
Requirements:

- Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and switch priorities efficiently
- Capable of working both independently and in a team.
- Must be very customer service-focused
- Ability to lift and handle bikes; prepared for physical activity.
- Comfortable working a 10-hour shift, standing, walking, riding, and lifting bikes.
- Must be able to ride a bike.
Must be dependable, hard-working, friendly, and a very trustworthy and honest individual. Positions require attention to detail, punctuality, and a great service attitude & team spirit. Flexible to help in other positions as requested. Additional tasks as requested by management. You will be working all weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), all holidays, and evening shifts. If you call out sick or miss shifts, your employer is not required to schedule any additional shifts that week for you. You can not miss shifts due to any other jobs or online classes while working at your primary job. You may not work the same shifts as your friends. Nor will you have the same days off as your friends. No job, or hours at a job, can be 100% guaranteed. Regardless of what your work contract states, there is always a possibility that you will work more or fewer hours. Some days will be slower than others.
