Game Attendant:
Must be available to work through Labor Day, September 7, 2026. As a Carnival Game Operator, your role is to create a fun and engaging experience for guests by encouraging them to try carnival games. Using a microphone, you will attract guests to your area, explain game options, and convey excitement to ensure their enjoyment. You’ll handle game equipment, distribute prizes, collect fees, and maintain a clean and organized booth. This role is demanding and requires both physical and mental stamina, as you will stand for long periods, manage crowd flows, and work in varying weather conditions. Steel Pier values qualities such as honesty, courtesy, and friendliness, which you should demonstrate in every interaction. Flexibility with scheduling is essential, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Please note that operations are limited to weekends before June 18 th and after September 7 th. Key Responsibilities: Guest Engagement: Greet guests with friendliness and enthusiasm, using the microphone to make announcements that encourage participation. Game Descriptions: Describe game types, rules, and prizes to passing guests to spark interest in gameplay. Must be available to work until Labor Day, September 7, 2026. This is a fast-paced retail job at Steel Pier. You will spend most of your shift standing, talking with guests, and demonstrating toys such as bubble blowers. You will help children and families choose toys, shirts, bags, and novelties. You must stay focused, friendly, and ready to follow instructions from managers. You will also lift products and supplies up to 22 kg (50 lbs) when needed. Participants who succeed in this job are outgoing and persistent. You must be willing to start conversations, demonstrate products many times each day, and encourage guests to make purchases in a professional way. You will handle cash and card payments accurately, keep displays clean, organized, and fully stocked, follow pier safety rules, and support a clean, hazard-free environment.
