Job Description :
Lifeguard
Working as a Lifeguard means you’ll keep our guests safe at our pools at our Resorts and Cedar Point Shores Waterpark. You’ll also…
– Complete training and meet the standards of the Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program, including first aid, CPR, water skills, and spinal injury management.
– Monitor and enforce the waterpark rules in our pools, slides, and lazy river. – Learn to properly use and store rescue equipment.
– Required to screen all guests to ensure proper rider requirements are met, including but not limited to: height, weight, and physical restrictions.
– Ensure every guest understands all attraction rules by administering verbal spiels as well as demonstrating proper rider positioning and they must enforce attraction specific rules to each rider.
– Use comprehensive dispatch systems including: Lights and Hand Signals, as well as using phones and whistles to communicate with other attendants/lifeguards.
– Must attend ongoing training to maintain a valid certification through In-service, preservice, and audits.
– Advises Aquatics Management of unsafe and unsanitary conditions.
*This is a high guest facing contact position. You must have above average ability to speak and understand English. *Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen upon arrival to Cedar Point.
