Job Description :
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prepare, cook, and present food according to established recipes, standards, and quality guidelines.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, measuring, seasoning, and portioning as required.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly, including ovens, grills, fryers, stoves, knives, mixers, and other cooking equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout the shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations and procedures.
- Monitor food quality, temperature, freshness, and portion sizes to ensure food is prepared and served according to standards.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food and kitchen supplies.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen team members and restaurant staff to ensure smooth and timely food service.
- Follow proper procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of food and kitchen materials.
- Respond appropriately to guest or supervisor requests and concerns related to food preparation and service.
- Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, portion guidelines, and established food preparation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Remain alert throughout the duration of the shift and maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Ability of simple reading, measuring, and task completion skills is required.
- Must have the following skills: coordination, precision working, following instructions, memorization, problem solving, time management, independent judgment, and decision making.
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Previous kitchen or cooking experience preferred, or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing and walking, frequently reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying, and occasionally crouching, kneeling, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
- Team member must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull food supplies, kitchen equipment, and other materials as required by the position.
- The team member will frequently have repetitive use of both hands for cutting, chopping, mixing, stirring, cooking, cleaning, and handling kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination of both hands will be frequently required.
- Constant use of vision abilities is required, including near and distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish colors when preparing and inspecting food.
- Team members may be exposed to heat, steam, grease, wet floors, and other conditions commonly found in a commercial kitchen and must follow all applicable safety procedures.
- Team member must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull food supplies, kitchen equipment, and other materials as required by the position, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.

English Required skills: Advanced (A, B+, B) only
