Hourly wage: $14.00 per hour
Overtime: Slight
Overtime details: Overtime is possible but it is not guaranteed. Anything worked over 40 hours a week will be paid 1.5 times
Job prerequisites:
The housekeeping position is physically demanding. You must have stamina, handle stressful situations, and work in a fast-paced environment. You will have an allotted amount of time to clean each room and have a deadline to clean your assigned rooms. Applicants should be free of injuries of health conditions that could affect constant bending, kneeling, lifting up to 10 kilos, continued use of cleaning chemicals. English understanding and speaking of at least 7 or higher, no exceptions!
Job Descriptions:
This position combines housekeeping, laundry, grounds maintenance, and houseman responsibilities to support the daily operations of the resort. Team members play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and ensuring all resort standards are consistently met.
Housekeeping Responsibilities
- Clean guest rooms thoroughly according to resort standards.
- Vacuum carpets and floors.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and room surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace used towels.
- Restock guest amenities and supplies.
- Remove trash from guest rooms and common areas.
- Clean hallways, lobbies, stairwells, and other public spaces.
- Report maintenance concerns or damaged items to management.
Laundry Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize all resort linens.
- Process towels, sheets, pillowcases, and other laundry items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Monitor laundry supplies and notify supervisors when inventory is low.
Grounds Responsibilities
- Pick up litter and debris throughout the property.
- Maintain cleanliness of parking lots, sidewalks, pool areas, and outdoor common spaces.
- Assist with keeping guest-facing outdoor areas clean and presentable.
Houseman Responsibilities
- Support housekeeping operations throughout the property.
- Deliver linens, towels, and supplies to housekeeping staff.
- Assist with trash removal and common area cleaning.
- Help inspect rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Work closely with supervisors and experienced staff to maintain operational efficiency
Employees should expect to work alongside experienced senior/veteran housekeepers. It is a requirement that new staff work with and receive guidance from senior housekeepers to ensure rooms are cleaned correctly and consistently meet resort standards.
Employees should not expect to work directly with friends or select their own work partners. Work assignments, room assignments, and teams are determined by management based on operational needs and quality control requirements.
A positive attitude, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively with supervisors and experienced team members are essential for success in this role.
