Job Descriptions:

Join our team for the summer season! We are looking for dedicated and hardworking individuals to fill multiple roles, including Line Cook, Order Taker, and Cashier. While you may be assigned to different tasks, please note that the employer requires participants to work as a Line Cook for the majority of their shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

Line Cook (Primary Role)

  • Prepare, cook, and stock food items according to restaurant standards.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow strict food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Operate and clean kitchen equipment properly.
  • Stand for the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
  • This is a critical position, and participants should expect to spend most of their time working as a Line Cook.

Order Taker

  • Greet customers and take their food orders accurately.
  • Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen team.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by being friendly and efficient.

Cashier

  • Operate cash registers and handle U.S. currency.
  • Process credit card and electronic payments accurately.
  • Maintain accuracy when handling transactions and following cash-handling procedures.

Requirements:

Dependability & Work Ethic – Must be reliable, hardworking, and trustworthy, with a positive attitude toward guests and coworkers.

Attention to Detail & Punctuality – Must pay close attention to detail, be committed to service, and be consistently punctual.

Service Orientation & Team Spirit – Maintain a welcoming attitude, work effectively with the team, and be flexible to assist with other roles or tasks as needed.

Schedule Flexibility – Be prepared to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), all holidays, and evening shifts as scheduled.

Attendance Expectations – Missed shifts due to illness or other reasons may limit additional shifts that week. Shifts cannot be missed due to other jobs or online classes.

Independence in Scheduling – Your shifts and days off may differ from those of your friends.

Hours and schedules are set based on business needs and are not guaranteed.

Adaptability – Be open to helping in other positions as requested. Shifts and tasks may vary, and work hours may fluctuate based on business needs. Employees may be sent home early if the business does not require a full staff.
