Why choose us?: Working at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City offers participants hands-on experience in a large, professional casino kitchen environment. This role is back-of-house focused and primarily involves food preparation, station support, and kitchen operations, not guest-facing service.
Participants will work under experienced chefs and supervisors in a high-volume, structured corporate setting. Because the casino operates multiple food outlets, assignments may vary by outlet or station based on business needs. This job is well suited for participants who are patient, detail-oriented, and comfortable with repetitive prep work in a fast-paced kitchen.
While direct guest interaction is limited, participants will work closely with diverse kitchen teams, gaining exposure to U.S. workplace standards, food safety practices, and large-scale food service operations. One complimentary meal per shift may be provided, depending on schedule and department.
This is a strong opportunity for participants interested in culinary skills, commercial kitchen experience, and working within a large corporate organization during the summer season.
Cultural exchange activities: This position offers a competitive wage and a complimentary meal per shift, but participants should expect to work hard in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The role is primarily back-of-house, focused on food preparation and kitchen support within a large casino operation. This job is best suited for participants who are patient, reliable, and comfortable with physically demanding, repetitive work.
Located in Atlantic City, this job places participants in one of New Jersey’s most well-known summer destinations. Atlantic City offers beaches, a historic boardwalk, casinos, and seasonal events throughout the summer. Public transportation is accessible, and the city attracts Work & Travel participants from around the world.
Atlantic City’s location also makes it easy to explore major U.S. cities during days off, including Philadelphia (about 1 hour), New York City (about 2.5 hours), and Washington, D.C. (about 3 hours). Participants can visit cultural attractions, museums, landmarks, and nearby points of interest such as Lucy the Elephant and Absecon Lighthouse.
This opportunity is ideal for participants who want real U.S. work experience in a structured corporate environment while spending the summer near the ocean and exploring the East Coast in their free time.
