Position Available: 2 Positions
Hourly wage: $15.50/Hour
Estimated hours: 32 Average hours per week
Overtime: Slight
Meal: Daily meal free during your work shift.

Job Prerequisites:
- Your Start Date must be a Thursday to attend Orientation!

- Must be an advanced, very strong swimmer.
- Previous pool experience preferred.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly.
- Able to swim 100 yards (91.44 meters) without stopping and tread water with hands held out of the water for a 1-minute.

Job Description:
- Your Start Date must be a Thursday to attend Orientation!
- You must report to the Human Resources office the next business day (Not Saturday or Sunday) between 10 am and 3 pm upon your arrival to the US and contact HR via email upon arrival for scheduling.
- If you do not arrive for processing paperwork on time your orientation may be delayed by a week. The paperwork takes about 45 minutes.
- Must be an advanced, very strong swimmer.
- Need to be outgoing, friendly, approachable, and helpful.
- Ensure the safety of all guests by providing constant visual surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas at all times. Identifying and reacting to any potential safety risks or emergency situations. Speaking up if guests are running or playing too rough.
- You will be working outside in all types of weather – hot sun, cooler days, light rain, etc.
- Standing and sitting in the hot sun for long periods of time. Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to all emergency situations determining if injuries are life-threatening or require administration of first aid.
- Responsible for following all emergency procedures in accordance with American Red Cross training including water rescue, CPR, and/ or application of First Aid when required/needed.
- Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
- This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer, and providing positive and proactive solutions.
- Perform all job duties as assigned, looking for opportunities to assist guests, coworkers, or managers at all times.
- Possess strong attention to detail, maintaining the cleanliness of the pool and surrounding areas.
- Responsible for all opening/closing and daily duties as assigned.
- Knowledge and adherence to all GSR and department policies and procedures ensuring the highest levels of customer service. Know hotel amenities, services, and outlets making recommendations to fit guest needs.
- Attend and participate in all meetings in order to be informed of new rules, regulations, and procedures, and to discuss scheduling or other concerns of the Hotel or department.
- Employer will conduct in-person training & certification with participants to be licensed lifeguards.
- The employer pays the Lifeguard License fee.
- Must be dependable, hardworking, friendly, trustworthy & honest person.
- Employer will conduct random drug tests during the season. If you fail the drug test you will be terminated and you could be placing your W&T program in jeopardy.
- Must be flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
- You may not work the same shifts as your friends nor will you have the same days off as your friends.
- No job, or hours at a job, can be 100% guaranteed. Regardless of what your work contract states, there is always a possibility that you will work more or fewer hours.
- Some days will be slower than others.
You are here to work so our guests enjoy their vacations and are safe. A lifeguard is critical to the safety of everyone in the pool. Do not take this position for granted. You will be working and you are responsible for the safety of the guests.

- Independence in Scheduling: Your shifts and days off may differ from friends’. Hours and schedules are set based on your host business needs and are not guaranteed.
- Adaptability: Be open to helping in other departments or positions as requested.
- Shifts and tasks vary, and work hours may fluctuate with hotel occupancy.

- Be prepared for both busy and slower days.
