Hourly wage:  $13.00 + tips per hour

Wage comments: Promotion potential up to $16 hourly based on good performance.

Tips: Tips are split equally between all front and back-of-house team members based on hours worked. 50% of tips go to the kitchen staff, and 50% go to front-of-house staff.

Estimated hours per day: 32 hours weekly average

Meals details: There is a 50% employee meal discount in each one of Seward Hospitality Group’s dining establishments.

 

Job prerequisites:

Must be able to stand for the duration of your shift. Applicants must be comfortable working with all food types, including pork and seafood and must not have any sensitivities to cleaning chemicals.

The host would like to hire participants who are in their first or second year of school, and would like to exclude seniors from applying. The host also prefers applicants who are majoring in the hospitality industry and have a keen desire to work in the service industry.

Job Descriptions:

Kitchen members duties include food preparation, cooking, and cleaning.  Tips are split equally based on hours worked: 50% for the front-of-house staff and 50% for the back-ofhouse staff.  Wages start at $13 per hour, promotion potential up to $16/hour.  All ages acceptable.

Transportation details: Participants can walk or ride a bike to work. Housing is located adjacent to the bike path. It is a 1530 minute walk, depending on location/speed.

Everything in Seward is within walking or biking distance.  There are glaciers, wildlife, hiking trails, and fishing opportunities, along with local museum and aquarium.
