Position Available: 2 Positions (No preferences)

Hourly wage:

Housekeeper – $16 per hour

Kitchen Crew – $16 per hour

Host – $15.35 per hour

Breakfast Attendant – $15.05 per hour

Busser/Server Assistant – $14.75 per hour

Average of Hours: 32 – 40 + Average Hour per week

Job Prerequisites:

  • Must be able to speak and understand English at an Intermediate
  • Must be prepared to work in any department needed, such as Housekeeping, Dishwashing, Kitchen, or Food & Beverage.
  • Must accept the position/role assigned upon arrival as no changes will be permitted
  • Must be prepared for physically demanding work, including bending, lifting, twisting, pushing, and long periods of standing.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes both high hours during peak business and low hours during slow weeks.
  • Must work until the final day on the employment agreement and DS-2019 form.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test upon arrival.
  • Must apply for a Social Security Card at the Flagstaff, AZ Office before coming to work for The Grand Hotel.
  • Must maintain good personal hygiene (daily shower/bath and use of deodorant).
  • Must not have visible tattoos or facial piercings during work.
  • Must be clean-shaven (for men) with hair above collar length.
  • Must provide their own black formal pants (slacks), black socks, and black non-slip shoes.

Additional Physical Requirements by Role

  • Housekeeping: Must be able to constantly carry, lift, push, and pull items up to 75 lbs and push a loaded cart up to 300 lbs and be able to lift 50–75 lbs and push or pull 200–250 lbs of laundry.
  • Kitchen Utility: Must be able to occasionally carry, lift, push, and pull items up to 100 lbs.
  • Dining Room Host: Must be able to occasionally carry, lift, push, and pull items up to 50 lbs.

Job Descriptions:

General Job Duties

  • Be prepared to work in any department needed (like Housekeeping, Kitchen, or Food & Beverage) as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Work safely to prevent on-the-job accidents and injuries.
  • Follow all company policies, including those for environmental commitment (preventing pollution, reducing waste, and recycling).
  • Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shifts.

Housekeeping Job Duties

  • Clean assigned guest rooms and suites to high standards.
  • Make beds, clean bathrooms, dust, and stock rooms with amenities.
  • Remove dirty linens and collect trash from guest rooms.
  • Clean outside guest rooms, in hallways, and on the surrounding grounds.
  • Report any maintenance problems immediately to your supervisor.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of all guest rooms and follow lost and found procedures.
  • Work in all phases of the main laundry operation.
  • Sort, count, and accurately weigh linen for washing.
  • Load and unload washers and dryers.
  • Fold, press, stock, and prepare clean linen for delivery.
  • Meet daily production standards for clean linens to avoid delays for housekeeping.
  • Follow all equipment and safety procedures, especially when handling biohazard designated linens.

Kitchen Crew

  • Ensure the proper cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, dishes, pots/pans, utensils, and glassware.
  • Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, and cooking/eating utensils using an automated dishwashing machine.
  • Clean and sanitize all pots/pans using approved hand-washing techniques.
  • Clean kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping.
  • Take out trash and clean trash receptacles.
  • Restock dishes and eating utensils on the buffet lines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting other stations.

Host

  • Greet guests as they enter the restaurant and make them feel welcome.
  • Take reservations, put guests on a waiting list, and show them to their seat.
  • Accurately inform guests of the wait time if a table is not ready.
  • Keep the seating chart current and seat guests evenly across sections.
  • Answer phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant or menu.
  • Assist servers by clearing and setting tables as needed.
  • Report any guest complaints or issues immediately to the Service or Unit Manager.
  • Complete opening and closing side duties according to dining room standards.
  • Keep menus clean and presentable.

English Required skills: Advance – Intermediate (A, B+, B, C+ only)

Start Date: May 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 26th, 28th, June 2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd (Tue.& Thu. Only)
