Position: Operations Technician

Position Available:  2-3 position (Male Only)

Hourly wage:  $15.07 per hour

Estimated hours per day: approx. 32 hours per week

Meals details: 50% while on shift only

 Job prerequisites:

You must be able to assist in various tasks as requested. Flexible to handle event planning setup as well as general routine operational tasks. 

Job Descriptions:

As an Operations Technician at The Monument, you’ll play an essential role in preparing the facility for a wide variety of events—from concerts and conventions to sporting events and banquets. This hands-on position involves physical work, teamwork, and a flexible, can-do attitude. Job Duties Include: Preparing and maintaining the facility before, during, and after events Setting up and tearing down equipment, including pipe and drape, tables, chairs, staging, and athletic flooring Performing large-area cleaning and event space resets Wiping down surfaces (including bathrooms), picking up trash, and emptying bins Handling cleaning products and equipment safely and responsibly Moving and organizing event materials and supplies Working both independently and as part of a team to meet event setup timelines Supporting other departments as needed to ensure event success Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs (16 kg) Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and carry items throughout shifts Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and working in a fast-paced environment Position Requirements: Dependability & Work Ethic Reliable, on-time, and committed to your assigned shifts Strong work ethic and attention to task completion Teamwork & Flexibility Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks and work across departments Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Adaptability Work hours may vary depending on the event schedule and business needs Some shifts may be shortened if the venue does not require a full staff Be prepared for both busy and slower days Personal Responsibility Your schedule may differ from your friends or roommates—you may not have the same days off Shifts cannot be missed, started late, or worked with low energy due to additional jobs Shifts may not be missed for second jobs or online classes Your employer is not obligated to offer makeup  hours for missed shifts You may not receive the minimum of 32 hours if you are unavailable to work your assigned shifts
