Position: General Grocery Worker

Hourly wage: $13.73 plus tips per hour

Candidate Criteria: We seek upbeat, positive candidates with a high level of Advanced and strong academic performance (minimum GPA of 80%). Please note we do not place groups larger than two students with the same host company, nor do we accommodate romantic couples or mixed-gender housing for couple
- Advance English.
- Employers want excellent comprehension, good conversational English and reading. Must be mature and responsible.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Flexibility to do a variety of positions
Job Description :
Greet and assist customers, cashier responsibilities, deli, cleaning, inventory/restocking, as well as other related duties.
- Welcome customers politely when they enter the store or counter area.
- Offer help or answer questions about products, prices, or services.
- Provide good customer service — be friendly, attentive, and helpful.
- Operate the cash register or POS system to handle payments.
- Accept cash, credit cards, or gift cards, give correct change and receipts.
- Make sure all transactions are accurate and follow company policy.
- Keep the cashier area clean and organized.
- Work in the deli section, preparing and serving food such as sandwiches, salads, cold cuts, or hot items.
- Follow food safety and hygiene rules (wear gloves, wash hands, keep surfaces clean).
- Slice meats or cheese, make simple orders, and package food properly for customers.
- Keep the work area, counter, and equipment clean and sanitized.
- Wash dishes, wipe tables, sweep and mop floors.
- Empty trash bins and restock cleaning supplies when needed.
- Maintain a tidy, safe workspace at all times.
English Required skills: Advanced (A, B+, B) Only
