Position: Retail Associate
Position Available: 5 positions
Locations: Magic Castle Gift Shop, Mermaid Gift Shop, Studio West Gift Shop, Dream World Gift Shop, Bargain World West 192 Gift Shop,Green Parrot Gift Shop etc. *Participants should remain open-minded and flexible about working in any of the available roles and locations* (Location will be assigned upon arrival)
Hourly wage: $13.00 per hour
Estimated hours per week: An average of 32 hours per week
Job Description : As a retail associate, the participant is responsible for customer service, stocking merchandise, completing transactions at the register, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store
Requirements: The participant is expected to bathe every day and wear deodorant. The host employer will provide the participant with grooming guidelines during orientation with them. Employers in the US typically have restrictions regarding piercings, tattoos, facial hair, and un-natural hair colors. If any of these apply to the participant, we strongly suggest consulting with the host regarding any concerns before accepting the placement offer.
Note: English speaking Intermediate/Advanced level required. An outgoing and friendly personality is a must. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently

Cost of housing: $20.49 – $25.72 per student per day
Cost detail:
The daily rate for a room with three people is $68 + 13.5% taxes = $77.18 per night. Each participant would pay $25.72 per day.
The daily rate for a room with four people is $74 +13.5% taxes= $81.99 per night. Each participant would pay $20.49 per day, and two people would need to share a bed.
Overview of housing: Hotel
All participants are required to pay for the housing through the end date of their program. If a participant needs to leave the program for any reason before completion, the hotel will charge the regular daily rate for the entire time.
