Job Description:
The Food Runner plays a key role in ensuring guests receive their meals promptly, accurately, and in excellent condition. This position supports servers by running food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area, maintaining communication between front-of-house and back-of-house staff, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner. Ensure all orders are complete, accurate, and presented according to restaurant standards before leaving the kitchen.
Assist servers by refilling drinks, clearing empty dishes, and responding to guest requests when necessary.
Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer basic guest questions and handle food allergy concerns appropriately.
Support the kitchen staff by returning used dishes, glassware, and utensils to the dish area. Keep service stations, dining areas, and kitchen pass-throughs clean, stocked, and organized. Work as part of a team to create a smooth, efficient dining experience.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
This is a very physical job; need to lift 40lbs/18kg and need to be able to stand for 8 or more hours. Must be dependable, hard-working, friendly, and be a very trustworthy and honest individual. Employer guarantees a minimum of 32 hrs per week. You may not have the same
days off as your friends. You will work all weekends and holidays in America.
