Position: Estes Park Center Food Service, Housekeeping

Position Available: 1 position

Hourly wage: $14.81 per hour

Estimated hours per day: 32-40 hours each week

Number of days per week: 5 day per week

Job Description :

  • Housekeeping is responsible for having assigned cabins and lodge rooms cleaned by guest check-in time and meeting the expectations of the supervisors and guests. The housekeeper will also assist with Laundry and Janitorial duties.

 

  • Food Service Staff: Food prep, serving, washing dishes, cleaning kitchen and dining rooms, and cleaning restrooms.

 

  • Must be dependable, hard-working, friendly, and a very trustworthy and honest individual. Positions require attention to detail, punctuality, and a great service attitude & team spirit. Flexible to help in other positions as requested. Additional tasks as requested by management. You will be expected to work all weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and morning or evening shifts, including closing shifts. You may not work the same shifts as your friends. Nor will you have the same days off as your friends. No job, or hours at a job, can be 100% guaranteed. Regardless of what your work contract states, there is always a possibility that you will work more or fewer hours. Some days will be slower than others.

 

  • Room and Board include: • 3 buffet-style meals daily • Housing in dormitory style rooms • Free utilities (electric, heat, water) • Free internet • Free laundry • Free cleaning supplies and vacuums • Housing lobbies feature refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, and tv.
  • Discounted lodge room nights for friends and family.

 

  • We have a ZERO TOLERANCE for drug and alcohol policy. Even though Colorado has decriminalized marijuana we still recognize federal law which makes it illegal. We do random and reasonable suspicion testing which can be cause for immediate termination depending on drug test results. Seasonal staff cannot drink on property or store alcohol in staff housing. That can be cause for immediate termination as well. We want our guest and staff to have a healthy mind, body and spirit while at YMCA of the Rockies. Participants who are terminated for any reason or end their employment must vacate the housing immediately.

 

  • Every staff member/volunteer at the YMCA of the Rockies must have a CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK completed before starting employment. The employer also requires an ONLINE APPLICATION, two professional references, and one family reference to be submitted BEFORE you arrive. The YMCA is willing to hire groups of friends or couples, but participants should not expect to live together or work the same shifts.
