Hourly wage: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
Overtime: Slight
Bonus Comment: Participants who stay until their contract end date and adhere to company policy may be eligible for an end of season bonus and/or training bonus.
Estimated hours per day: 32 hour weekly minimum
Number of days per week: 4-6
Job prerequisites:
Dishwasher/Prep Cook: Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat, handle prolonged periods of standing, walking over 5 miles a day. Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times. Please do not apply if you have any sensitivities to cleaning chemicals. The host requires an interview with participants via Microsoft Teams prior to placement.
Guest Services: Advanced English required. Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred. The host requires an interview with participants via Microsoft Teams prior to placement.
Job Description:
Dishwasher/Prep Cook: A prep cook is responsible for the preparation of ingredients and stations used in the cooking process, as well as maintaining the kitchen and ensuring it is clean and sanitized. Dishwashers are responsible for cleaning all tableware, pots, pans and storing them properly. This role requires working in either the prep cook or dishwasher capacity depending on business needs Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct all activities and decisions according to Icy Strait Point’s guiding principles: BAP: Best, Authentic and Profitable. Perform all duties by providing outstanding service efficiently in an ever-friendly demeanor. Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance Working with servers and cashiers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts Washing tableware, pots pans using correct sanitization methods Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations Willingness to shift to other stations and/or assignments as needed. All other duties as assigned.
Guest Services: Guest service representatives may be required to work in a variety of areas within Icy Strait Point. Work areas may include selling tours, retail items, greeting guests, crowd control and providing directions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct all activities and decisions according to Icy Strait Point’s guiding principles: Best, Authentic, and Profitable Tour Destination
Provide excellent customer service to all Icy Strait Point guests Provide guests with information about all tours available at Icy Strait Point Participate in all required trainings Conduct functions, such as:
Checking guests’ weight
Verifying driver’s license information
Ensuring guests fill out waivers, as required
Secure bag check area
Other duties as assigned
Escort guests to tour vehicles and ensure timely tour departure
Communicate clearly with tour guides, drivers, supervisors and management
Promote other Icy Strait Point venues, distribute literature and/or sell merchandise
Work as greeters to welcome guests and conduct guest orientations
Assist within programs wherever needed
English Required skills: Proficient (A, B+, B only)
Start Date: May 13th – June 10th, 2025
End Date: August 30th – September 7th ,2025
