Hourly wage: $11.73 (+Tips)  – $16.00 per hour

Wage comments: 

  • Server: $11.73 per hour + Tips
  • Gift Shop (Retail Associate): $14.00 per hour

  • Prep Cook: $15.00 per hour
  • Food Expeditor: $15.00 per hour
  • Dishwasher & Front House Utility: $16.00 per hour

Overtime: Slight

Estimated hours per day: 32 hour weekly minimum

Number of days per week: 4-6

 

Job prerequisites: An interview with the host employer is required prior to placement.

Server

Must be 21yrs or older. Some experience in positions involving customer service or food and beverage service is preferred. Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand on your feet for the duration of your shift. This is a multi-floor establishment and you will be required to climb stairs, carrying dishes, repeatedly. This is a physically demanding position. Proficient English speaking and comprehension skills are required. Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must.

You will be required to pass a server test after training is completed. If you do not pass, you will be offered a different position at the restaurant.

 

 

Gift Shop (Retail Associate)

Must be 21 years of age or older. Advanced English is required. Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must. 

Host, Greeter

Must be 21 years of age or old. Advanced English speaking and comprehension skills. Must commit to end of contract date. Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must.

Prep Cook  

Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift 50lbs. Must have previous experience in the kitchen or a keen interest in culinary arts. No limitations or food allergies. Must be ok with working with pork. Must commit to end of contract date. Must be able to read recipes, communicate clearly and understand measurements. Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must.

Food Expeditor

Must be able to lift 50lbs/23kg and stand for up to 8 hours; no physical limitations. Must be able to work with all food types, including pork and seafood. Please do not apply if you have any sensitivities to cleaning chemicals (dish sanitizer). Must commit to the end date. Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must.

Dishwasher & Front House Utility

Server

Server: Responsibilities include greeting customers, taking drink and food orders, serving food and drinks correctly and in a timely manner, assisting with clearing tables and cleaning duties. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding position where you will earn good tips if you work hard, have a positive attitude, and are a team player. Additional tasks may be assigned by your manager.

No eating allowed while working, limited breaks depending on the needs of the restaurant.

Gift Shop (Retail Associate)

The Gift Shop position is responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations of the retail shop, stocking inventory, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and assisting guests.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Greet guests entering the gift shop/Liquor shop
    Assist guests with choosing items and finding sizes
  • Prevent loss by theft or breakage
  • Maintain organized and presentable displays
  • Prepare orders to be shipped through the mail
  • Handle cash and credit cards to process payments and returns
  • Assist in performing weekly inventories
  • Coordinate with Assistant Restaurant Manager to improve product offering based on guest feedback
  • Ensure guest satisfaction in all aspects of the Gift Shop
  • Assist in Brewery tours

Host, Greeter

Responsibilities include; greeting guests, monitoring the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and clean tables, estimating wait times for guests, managing the guest waiting list, and ensuring that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting. A positive and assertive disposition goes a long way.

Responsible for answering the telephone; booking reservations; moving tables together to accommodate large parties. Host often communicates needs between managers, serving staff, bartenders, bussers and guests, while maintaining an overall understanding of who is occupying where and what has been preset. It can be a juggling act, so strong multi-tasking skills is a must. The host will also assist as a back server, food expediter and assist in cleaning duties whenever needed. Strong communication skills, strong work ethic, work well with others, foster teamwork, ability to multi-task, follow directions. Must be 21 years of age or old. Must commit to end of contract date. Employer may change position based on skill level, need of the restaurant, or to accommodate hours. Every employee assists, at times, with dishwasher shifts. It is important to be flexible.

Prep Cook  

Responsibilities include preparing cold foods, slicing vegetables, meats, preparing menu items in accordance to recipes, and many other tasks designated by the Kitchen Manager.

Prep cooks are responsible to maintain the area they work in and must adhere to the cleanliness and sanitation policies in place. Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift 50lbs.

Must have previous experience in the kitchen or a keen interest in culinary arts. Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written. Some experience in positions involving food preparation is normally preferred for this job or interest in working in a kitchen.

Must commit to end of contract date. Employer may change position based on skill level, need of the restaurant, or to accommodate hours. Every employee assists, at times, with dishwasher shifts. It is important to be flexible.

 

Food Expeditor

  • The Food Expeditor (Expo) is responsible for making sure both sides of the kitchen are running smoothly and efficiently. They are responsible for ticket times being up to standards and should be the only one communicating between the cooks and the front of house employees. Ensuring each dish going out is of high quality and plated correctly and all items on the ticket are going out together.

Essential Functions

  • Perform a variety of entry-level restaurant tasks.
  • Responsible for appearance and finished quality of food orders.
  • Ensure food orders are served promptly and efficiently to the correct table in the restaurant while ensuring guest satisfaction and overall food quality. Making sure cooks and runners are aware of ticket times and items going together.
  • Watching that re-fire items get executed correctly.
  • Communicating with team members if there are any issues with tickets.
  • Informing management/chefs of issues.
  • Ensuring re-fires are made and handled in the correct manner.
  • You must be able to stand for your entire shift and be able to lift up to 50lbs/23kg. Employer

Dishwasher & Front House Utility

As Dishwasher, you are responsible for unloading the dishes and cutlery brought to them by bussers and loading them into dish trays. The trays are unloaded, then placed into the commercial washers and are cleaned once closed. The commercial dishwashing machines do not accommodate larger pots and pans, so you will be required to wash things by hand.

Dishwashers are responsible for maintaining their workspace and keeping sanitary conditions at all times. This is a hard, physically demanding job. You will have constant exposure to cleaning chemical, hot water, steam from the dishwasher. Floors will be slick, so proper footwear (nonslip) is required. You will stand, bend, lift, and twist repeatedly for long durations. You will also be responsible for sweeping, cleaning, and trash removal. Must clean grease traps. Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift 50lbs. **THIS IS A GREAT ENTRY LEVEL JOB FOR A PARTICIPANT WITH INTERMEDIATE ENGLISH**
